MJC 2019 application period

Published

Hey all,

While looking at information for the Modesto Junior College RN program I came across an awesome thread on here for the 2018 application period. It was great to read through and see how much they motivated each other. It gives us an opportunity to stress together and bond while waiting to see if we get in. I am hoping to make a successful thread for those of us ready to apply in May.

Best of luck to all

Does anyone know if their cohorts are now “full” or if they are still accepting people off the waiting list? Any idea what alternate number they are on?

They will pull out people from the waitlist until December. I believe someone said they where selected a day before the semester started on this thread. So just keep checking until December. for spring semester I believe they have until October to accept their spot. Good luck!

Hi everyone,

Long time no update or anything. I was accepted to MJC for Jan 2020. However today I looked at my application by logging in and it stated no application available. Can other accepted applicants please go and check their app status just to make sure we all got this and not just few of us.

Please update me asap

Thanks

Everyone’s application is gone. They’re working on getting ready for next application period. It doesn’t mean anything for those on the waitlist or already in.

Just curious if anyone that was accepted into spring 2020 has received their next email? It said today we'd be getting one with more detailed info?

Hi,

Just seen this.Yes I got my email on 10/01/19. Hope you got yours too might want to check in with department if you did not.

Yes, I did earlier this week. It will outline the process for getting the immunizations, background checks, etc. before the semester starts. I was instructed to respond by Monday or I would lose my spot. If you haven't got an email, you might want to get proactive in contacting them, but you've probably (hopefully) seen it by now.

i have yet to receive any formal email... but I did find the declaration of intent document on the "Accepted Applicants Documents" page. I filled it out and sent to Kendis anyways! lol she accepted it.

Can someone please let me know if the information on the "Accepted Applicants Documents" page is the same as the formal email? The deadline dates they have listed on those docs are for the previous semester.

Please and thank you! ?

Has anyone started the shot process? I went in the MJC health office and they said November 1st and not earlier unless your registered.. But that sounds a little off. Can anyone give input on this or anyone who knows..

Thanks but I figured out why...I'm an LVN bridge student so they haven't sent out our emails just yet. Wish they'd made that clear in the last email because I freaked out lol.

Hi so I believe this is correct. As always I would check with Kendis. I got my email and Ive been kind of reading everything and they don't want you to start doing any of that stuff till the month before school starts. My friend who is in her third semester in the nursing program already, stated the same. she said usually they will give you more information about this during orientation. I think the only thing that was necessary to turn in right now is the declaration of intent and possibly start ordering your uniforms since it takes between 3-4 weeks for Scrubs and Beyond to get them ready for you.

Just curious since we still have to wait for our email...are you guys at least able to start the background/drug screening yet? Are they using castlebranch?

No, not yet. They want us to do this in the month of December.
