MJC 2019 application period

Published

Hey all,

While looking at information for the Modesto Junior College RN program I came across an awesome thread on here for the 2018 application period. It was great to read through and see how much they motivated each other. It gives us an opportunity to stress together and bond while waiting to see if we get in. I am hoping to make a successful thread for those of us ready to apply in May.

Best of luck to all

I know Delta has a really good nursing program. They also have clinicals in Kaiser-Modesto.

thx but do u know where MJC do their clinicals at?

If I had the option for both, I would go with MJC, hands down. The bridge program to Stan State to complete the BSN is a major deciding factor and the campus is safer. Delta would be closer for me, but I would still accept MJC over Delta, no doubt about it. I’ve also heard that Deltas program is very unorganized, I haven’t heard anything negative about MJC. Good luck!

Congratulations! ?

Thanks for the info..

Doctor's Medical Center is one for sure

does anyone know which program is better from modesto or delta college?? I am accepted to both and now I want to decide which one should I go for?

I would go to Delta hands down. They have better clinical and I've heard nothing but good things. They also have more staff unlike MJC.

How are their clinicals “better” than MJCs?

The bridge program offered by MJC makes it more attractive to me... I can only imagine that the only reason why this wouldn’t be a deciding factor is if you were not planning on continuing your education after earning your adn.

I made Spring. I think this actually works out better for me too! My daughter is a senior and plays varsity water polo and now I can still see all her games.

You can always get your BSN afterwards through any accredited online program. It only takes a year typically.

There is also an option for cross-enrollment with CSU Stanislaus and Delta as well:

Granted, it only applies to lower division coursework.

That’s true! There is always options to do it online, but as I understand it they allow you to push forward right away with your BSN, rather than waiting to jump through hoops for other universities. It’s just my opinion.

By the way, I earned my bachelors at Stanislaus in another field. It’s a great campus, and very safe. The students and faculty are all awesome.

Awesome! Congratulations!

Its incredible how much time high school sports take up! ? And it’s great for you to be able to enjoy her last year playing water polo before you have your nose in the books! Water polo is a tough sport. You should be a proud mama!
