MJC allnurses 2020

Updated:   Published

Hi guys! I thought it would be a great idea to start a new thread for those of us who are planning on applying to Modesto Junior College RN program. It would be great if we would all share with how many points we are applying with, this would give us an idea to see what are our chances are on getting in the program. With all the new changes, it is hard to tell what the cutoff on the points will be. I will be retaking my TEAS and hoping to apply with maybe 80 points or so. Hopefully ?????

Hi Irene! I don’t believe I have more than 70 ? But I’m still trying ?

It’s ok amber, just don’t give up! You still have a chance through lottery!

Hi! I’m also applying in a few days! I got an 80 on my TEAS, got all A’s and one B and have some CNA experience (not the 1000 hours worth) but I still only have 78 points! So nervous. Good luck everyone!!

Hi. I just submitted my application. I am getting all my pw together in case I get selected to submit docs. However, I have to hope that the counseling office has the catalogs that aren't available online. If not, I think I would be dead in the water. This is my first time applying, so I am trying to be prepared to minimize any anxiety.

Hi all, I am applying my second time to mjc today. I had got a 86 on the teas and all Bs unfortunately in the sciences. I have CNA license and health care field as a job for the 3 extra points. I only have 69 points still so I doubt I’ll get in but I’m praying on the lottery! Hope everyone here gets in! I know how hard and frustrating this whole process is

Good luck everyone! I submitted my application yesterday. My points were pretty low (had B's and one C in my sciences. All A's in my non-sciences of course lol), so I'm counting on the lottery. I am retaking the science (Physio) I got a C in this semester at Stan State and have another chance at taking the TEAS, so my score will be higher for next year at least lol.

Hi!! How many points do you have?

I am so nervous about making a mistake on my application that will get me disqualified! I keep going over it & reading old forums trying to see if there’s anything I should look out for while filling mine out ?

Well I took my teas today. I’m a little upset that I got the same score as last year on my teas, so it didn’t bring me up any points. I will be applying with 79 points! Hopefully I can get in! Good luck to you all. I love everyone’s persistence! It’s what’s going to make us great nurses!

Maybe you should speak with a nursing counselor just to double check

Yeah I think that’s what I’m going to do. I’m going to also gather my supporting docs just in case.
