here's what I found - check figure 20.2 under item #28
shows how to make mitered corners
That's a good picture, the only thing I was taught differently was to lay the part that the picture has up in the air back onto the bed so both hands are free to tuck the bottom part then, just lay it back down over the side. Practice makes it easier, I was a CNA for 4 years and today I still make all four beds in my house this way!
Haha, thanks for the link GingerSue. Brought back memories from a long time ago!!! :rotfl:
Jenn1fer, hope you get the hang of bedmaking soon! :) It can make a real difference to the patient being in a well made bed. :)
I'm being a tad cynical here, of course! LOL
Not totally, just a wee bit. :)
Because a well made bed can genuinely make a diference to the pt's comfort.
But the way my tutors taught .... you'd have thought it was the crucial link to the healing process! LOL
Oh, the hullaballoo they went on with about bedmaking! Bless 'em! :)
Daytonite is right, it's still taught in the military and who'd have known that would be the most useful skill I took away from the Army in the long run lmao I've caught myself trying to teach the kids to make their beds that way, usually ends with one looking at me like I'm an alien and at least one or two mutter something about mom being anal retentive :roll
