I applied as well. Based on my count, I should have between 82-87 points. This is my first time applying for any nursing program. I applied to Grossmont's program as well. I am just hoping for the best, trying to not get too excited or too nervous. Focused on staying positive and if it is meant to happen now, then so it will be. Good luck everyone! :)
I applied to both Mira Costa and Palomar. I had the same experience with Mira Costa. They flipped through my application to ensure it was complete. Palomar did not. From what I've heard, Mira Costa only takes in 20 people. I heard Mira Costa starts pushing IV's a lot sooner than Palomar's program. I'll be happy to get into either one. I have 76 points.
This is also my first applying to any nursing program. I try my best not to let my nervousness get the best of me. Have you received notification from any of the colleges? When I turned in my Mira Costa application the woman who I turned it in to said, to expect a letter in the mail by the end of March.
I agree, I would also be happy to be accepted into either program. I count my points to be 76 as well but I am told its up to admission to accept the extra point in the "life experience" section, not sure how true that is, but the only way to know is to wait to hear back. Have you heard back from any of the colleges you've applied?

Hello everyone!!
I am creating this thread to connect with others in the same boat as I. I recently applied to Mira Costa and Palomar College. My experience with Mira Costa was completely different from Palomar. The representative at Mira Costa opened my application in front of me. To make sure all was there😊. Im already so nervous and this is just day 1 of waiting for 2 months. Feel free to share your experience, points, worries, advice(from students already accepted in the RN program)
Good luck to us all 😄
