For the life of me, I can't find this particular post. The post has a reference to some books that supplement nursing studies. All I remembered was that it involve some kind of mindmaps. The example I remember was on bipolar. It has a colorful person with half the side depressed and half the side manic and you have the symptoms associated with it.
Anyone know the title of this book (or is it a mulitple volume?) I am talking about?

I know exactly what book you're talking about - we have it in our school bookstore. I don't know the name of it, but I know someone that bought it, so I will ask her today in class & let you know.

I believe the book you are referring to is "Memory Notebook of Nursing",
ISBN: 1892155060. I don't have it, so I cannot recomment it, just wanted to help out :)

Yes! That's it. Thanks! This board is great!
Thanks. If it is not too much of a trouble, can you find out how much it cost at your school bookstore so I have a general idea in terms of a bench mark.
Also how she liked it, or not liked it.
Thanks for the help.

No problem! That IS the name of the book that she has & she bought it in the bookstore for $25. It's also on Amazon.com for around the same price. They also have other volumes available. As far as it being helpful, we are now in 4th semester (2 yr program) & she just bought that book & is making some copies for her buddies (that includes me!!). Some of our instructors have even used them along with their lectures, so in my opinion, they are pretty helpful. Helps you to visualize the disorders, I think. Good luck!! :)

Thanks for all the info. I looked around, it looks like they have volume 1 and volume 2. Are there other books (like on a specific area of nursing) like this except with different names? If so, what's the title of the other books?

I'm not familiar with the Memory Notebook of Nursing, but here's another book you may want to check out:
Concept Mapping: A Critical Thinking Approach to Care Planning
Schuster, Pamela McHugh
ISBN #0-8036-0979-5

Depends how you learn. I have used them, for myself and tutoring, and think they can be very effective. There is also one for Pharmacology that I wish I had known about way back then. If you like the anatomy and physiology coloring books, are a visual learner or like mnemonics you'll like the books.
