Midwestern University CRNA Applicants 2024

Updated:   Published

Super nervous! Midwestern University is officially the first school I have truly submitted to and hoping to get in.

Stats:

  • 6 years ICU: neuro, trauma, surgical, medical
  • GPA 3.83 with some grad level courses
  • Science GPA is about 3.5- so a little low

Good luck everyone !

Unfortunately, you still have to send them.

What email do we send transcripts to?

You have to send official transcripts to the admissions department

I received an interview offer on 12/12; I applied on 11/6

Congratulations! I'm having a hard time with my personal statement without a prompt. Any advice?

Thanks! I sort of broke it into three parts:

1) Why nurse anesthesia in general - short narrative about myself/me as an ICU nurse

2) Why Midwestern specifically

3) Why I think I'm a strong applicant/good fit

Hope that helps! Good luck.

Did you submit supplemental material when you applied such as certifications and letters of recommendation? Or did they ask for that when you were offered an interview? If you sent it in when you applied where did you send it? Is there any email address or mailing address I'm missing to submit supplemental material?

Thanks!

I made sure to highlight my certifications in my resume. I did not include any supplemental material nor did they ask for any at the time of the interview request. You're not missing anything! Just make sure to send your transcripts to the admissions office - that has to be done separately from the application portal.

Thanks that makes me feel better! I highlighted my certifications as well in my resume and in my portal it says they have received my transcripts so I should be good now right? Just the torture of waiting ?

Yep! That's the only confirmation I ever got on my end. Keeping my fingers crossed for you ?

Thanks! I'm really hoping to hear one way or another soon ?

Has anyone heard anything recently? I applied 11/26 but haven't heard anything yet

I'm in the same boat. I applied at the end of the first week and haven't heard anything yet. I was told it was a rolling admission so was hoping to hear sooner rather than later, but am probably in that in-between category where they're waiting to see what other apps come in. It seems like if you're a solid yes or a solid no, some people have heard already? My prereq's for other programs are starting to expire, and I need to figure out whether I should take a couple more classes for those other programs...

Specializes in CVICU, MICU.

When did you apply? And when does their app close? I honestly just submitted all my docs
