Midwestern University CRNA Applicants 2024

Super nervous! Midwestern University is officially the first school I have truly submitted to and hoping to get in. 

Stats: 

  • 6 years ICU: neuro, trauma, surgical, medical 
  • GPA 3.83 with some grad level courses 
  • Science GPA is about 3.5- so a little low

I applied 11/11- apps close in February I believe.

I applied two days after it opened and haven't heard anything either way

I was told it was a rolling admission so was hoping to hear sooner rather than later, but am probably in that in-between category where they're waiting to see what other apps come in. It seems like if you're a solid yes or a solid no, some people have heard already? My prereq's for other programs are starting to expire, and I need to figure out whether I should take a couple more classes for those other programs...

Agree with this. It's the first application I've submitted so I was expecting to probably be in this category

I am writing up my personal statement this week and will be submitting my application. I see they accept ER and as of now that is my 7 years of experience. I am switching to ICU in the next few months but thought I would try applying since I technically still qualify for this school! 

For those that were denied, do they give a reason or feedback? Not sure what chance I have since I have never worked ICU but I have Level I Trauma ER as well as Level I PACU and in their application it mentioned both as critical care areas? My GPA is 3.98 (science GPA 4.0) and have my CEN - think I have a shot?

Hi all! I just submitted my application... So strange that we don't submit LOR? And strange that some people are hearing back, and others aren't, but good luck to all!
