Midwestern State University spring 2015 hopeful

I have finally gotten everything situated with my classes and GPA to FINALLYYYY apply! I am sending in my application this week, just finished up my chem class with a B thank god. I have a 3.0 GPA for my prerequisites and about 60 to 63 points. What do you think my chances are for getting in? When I talked to my advisor she said if I got a B in chem then I should have no problem but my worrying self doesn't want to wait that long to see. And how long did it take for a response. Application deadline is August 15th. Any helpful advise would be appreciated!!

I have 75 points & Catherine Ruby told me I would definitely get in, I'm just anxious to receive the actual acceptance email/letter

I just got off the phone with Jeana Brunson. She says that Catherine Rudy has a few more students that need to be ranked then "in the next few weeks", hopefully they'll be done and the committee will be able to meet and letters will be sent out. So it looks as though we'll be waiting until the end of the month. Deciding who's gonna get into the program isn't easy so I guess it's good to take the time and not make any mistakes. Yeah, I have 67 and Catherine told me I was above the cutoff so I would get in too. Same as you, I'm just waiting for a confirmation email before I really flip out and start calling family to tell them.

Has anyone thought where they would live when accepted because I heard apartments got filled up pretty quick

Also, from what I read from the previous years post everyone knew close to early november

in the fall the cutoff was 66, and the spring is supposed to be a little bit easier to get into, so I guess 66 is a safe assumption. However, It does change every year.

I would think so! There are 157 applicants total so I think 66 will at get you in! I think 64-65 would get you on a very short waiting list, so you should be in and fine either way. Only a few more weeks to go now! It takes all of my effort not to call Catherine everyday!!! The wait is definitely the hardest thing about this process!

Just 157 applicants? How many do they accept into the program?

That is not a lot. I applied with 69 points. Just waiting for my acceptance email. I know I will get in.

Am just positive. Am new to this forum. Hope everyone on here gets in. This is kind of getting to know a couple of classmates. This is really helpful. I live in lewisville, I will have to move to Wichita falls when the program starts. We'll see.

Reading from previous forums, spring 2014 acceptances went out November 14th. I hope we get to know ours earlier than that cos our deadline was way too earlier than last year.
