Midwestern State University Applying for fall 2014

Published

Hi guys!

I am thinking about applying for the program at MSU this feb. to start in the fall. I have been a student there before but am transferring back. I have 3 more classes to take which I will take there this spring. right now I have calculated my points to be 48.5 which I could easily mess up adding the points since I find the system confusing at times or I'm just extremely stressed about it lol.... I am wondering if it is worth applying, or to wait one more semster. Anyone else applying soon? I am especially nervous, I am ready to get into a program and get this over with!!! Comments and encouragment greatly appreciated (: And its nice to get to know some of the potential students I could possibly be with (:

well they have a pool, gym, basketball court and volleyball court. they always have move in deals so depending on when you sign the lease u may have a better deal than i did. i wanted to give you the website but it looks like they took it down. i think they are creating a new one with the new name. anyways if you decide to come wichita let me know. i will try to send you some pics

:) Wow! That sounds great!

I'm coming to visit, turn in my app, and have my points added up on the 10th so I will be checking the apts out. I'm looking for something nice with all bills paid so that sounds great. If you can send me some pics that would be great!!!

I am applying for the Accelerated Nursing Program for summer 2014 at Midwestern State University. I have a few questions about the program. What was the average gpa they accepted into the program and is admissions heavily based on HESI a2 scores?

And is the point system the same as the ban program?

@nursingqueen2b yes i think this is the only complex that does the all bills paid thing here in wichita falls. the other ones are unfurnished and not all bills included and most buildings for me are really old. send me your facebook or email so i can send you some pictures

@bmwsu the admission system is not really base on the hesi. i think its just like something you need. they are mostly focus on the total number of points you have but before they look at your application you must have passed the hesi that"s all

@Bronze1 ok thanks

Sims is not located on campus. It is about 5mins from campus.

Has anyone turned in their applications!!! My 8 week session course has ended and I will be driving to WF with my mom next monday to turn in my app and have CR add up my points for me.

@Vandouanla can I pm you? I will send you my info so you can send me the pics. I will also be viewing the apartments when I come down there!

@nursingqueen2b yes i've applied already. i think if you come next week you will be fine because school closes the week after that for spring break. yes let's exchange information. what is pm?

Does anyone know how they factor GPA when you are currently enrolled in classes? I am in the middle of the semester for Microeconomics as well as Intro to Sociology and am trying to calculate my GPA. I am applying for the fall 2014 semester.

@Vanduanla I sent you my email! Also that is what someone told me when I called about coming the week I'm out for spring break, and not the following week since ya'll will be out for break then. PM=Private Message... I sent you my email through a private message let me know if you got it!

@Galosugar From my understanding of what the point system says, and by what the advisors told me any class you are currently taking at the time you turn in your application will only count towards BSN pre-reqs/Core classes "in progress" as 1 point. I'm currently taking chemistry so my chem class will give me 1 point for a pre-req "in progress". Those classes you are taking will not be factored into your gpa if they are not complete but you will for sure get a point for them.

@Vanduanla I sent you a friend request! Accept it so you can message me. I also tried to send you a message but I think you have to accept my request first. You should see it in you alerts!

Thank you so much!
