Hi guys!
I am thinking about applying for the program at MSU this feb. to start in the fall. I have been a student there before but am transferring back. I have 3 more classes to take which I will take there this spring. right now I have calculated my points to be 48.5 which I could easily mess up adding the points since I find the system confusing at times or I'm just extremely stressed about it lol.... I am wondering if it is worth applying, or to wait one more semster. Anyone else applying soon? I am especially nervous, I am ready to get into a program and get this over with!!! Comments and encouragment greatly appreciated (: And its nice to get to know some of the potential students I could possibly be with (:
@benix30. i think that waiting list is bull. the best thing is to get the admission the first time.i am surprised you were number 11 and you didn't get in. i was number 36 and last week i was in her office she told me there were 3 or 4 people ahead of me for a spot. for my blue card i haven't submitted it. she told me i could come and drop it at her office or put it in my docs when i am reapplying. she told me that we wont need to redo that cuz the texas board of nursing already has our names and background check in their system and it is good for any texas college of nursing you are applying into. the advisor told me i dont need to redo the hesi, just print a new sheet of my results
@benix30, i am presently a student here and take some classes this semester but not nursing related classes . lool the fact that i am a student here now it's easier to lobby the nursing school and speak to them directly when i have a question
@nursingqueen, you should consider moving in wichita falls if you get admitted. 2hrs is a lot of commuting. i met some new nursing students who were doing that but finally decided to move cuz it was alot. just come settle down, concentrate, graduate and leave
the town is not as bad as i first thought, everything is at a 5 min distance so you save on gas. and if you decide to live in some complexes where the mustang bus passes by you dont even need to drive to school, its like a 5 min distance and the bus is there every 15mins. i leave my car home and ride the bus. i have been saving on gas. they have best buy, walmart, ross, jc penney here and many others. i was surprised
This time I will know my points because the advisor calculated for me. Presently it's 69.5 but I know they also give you one point per class pending,so I think I will be between 75-71 by the time I will he applying. I think 69 is fine cuz most of the time the cuting points is between 63-65 depending on the group of students applying that semester.
I don't recognize the course. Can you give me the full name?
For some reason I thought taking a class 3 times was considered repeating a course 3 times, but it's only repeating the course twice if taken three times. So I calculated my points wrong. I will have 70 points if I make a B in my economics class and 71 if I make a A in the class. I'm Praying for a A!

Does anybody on here have kids and is applying from somewhere away from Midwestern, like that does not live in Wichita Falls? I am currently applying but I am not sure what I will do since I would have to move to Wichita if I get accepted.
