Midwestern State Fall 2015

Hey everyone! I've become interested in applying for MWSU for Fall 2015, but I have yet to see any threads about it so I decided to start one myself! Could anyone help me with their point system?

@angieperry you can't register for nursing classes yet but you can register for other non classes as Catherine can remove the hold before then. Goodluck to you too!

It will be ok. And yes you have to attend both orientations because one is for the school and the other is for nursing school specifically.. I think the nursinf orientation has nothing to do with registering for classes it is about getting to know the program and getting prepared for what to expect. The school orientation is where you do registration. But yes you can email catherine and she can remove your hold for registration and you can register for non nursing classes this thursday. The nursing classes are reserved for us so no need to worry about getting a spot because you already have one. I have already registered for my non-nursing classes.

@keunnamonae how can you register when registration closed till Thursday the 21st, before it reopens? Ya the nursing classes are reserved for us, so am not worried about getting a spot; just that it's taking forever to get a letter that's all. Finally done my fingerprint today, was told tx BON would get the result in 3 to five days. I think when you cleared then they send the blue card to you which I hear takes weeks.

Goodluck @angieperry! And I mean nothing we can do about it so i would just do what I can now so that way already prepared. It sucks that we have to wait so late but I rather wait than be giving info and then it changed later. I guess I really dont care about driving because I will be going down there atleast 4 times this summer lol

@lorr19 registration closed last thrusday on 14th but catherine removed my hold that same day before it closed up, so I went in a registered for my two filler classes before it closed at midnight. Yeah that what she told me and yeah the blue card can take a couple of weeks to get to you that why they say do it now and not later

@keunnamonae i mean i don't mind waiting, but i just want to know when the orientation date would be so i can plan appropriately. I Think maybe because of the orientations coming up, that's why, its kind of all over the place. Am just going to continue buying my stuff for school, and just wait patiently for the letters as there's nothing we can do anyways about it. Also the classes are held for nursing students, so no need to worry at all.

I know everyone is really concerned about classes, orientation and driving back and forth. I can only tell you my personal experience. Catherine allowed me to take the MSU orientation online and from there I enrolled into the nursing classes. I was one of the students called off the wait list approximately 2 weeks before classes started so you can just imagine what I went through, but I made it. With God on my side I knew it was meant for me and I learned patience, some things are not in our times. Sorry I am just so thankful I was given the opportunity and I plan to take full advantage of it. So with the early acceptance that you all have I know everyone will be fine. Nursing orientation for the spring was the first week of school. I am not sure how much different the process maybe between Spring and Fall really can't imagine that things would totally change but I don't know anything about the Fall. Hopefully something I have said will uplift someone. Have a blessed day!!!

@Keunnamonae and brecumby I spoke to Catherine and she said we all are required to take that English class or write the exam and pass it, as this is required to earn a bachelors degree in MSU. So I have already registered mine today as she removed the hold for me.

@keunnamone yes I was able to register for that section was almost filled up so I was lucky to get a spot. Just one spot left.

@lorr19 oh good! yeah I went back and registered for family assessment and clincal, I cant register for patho yet because my transcript from TCC has not gotten to MSU so they can evaluate it
