Midwestern State Fall 2015

Published

Hey everyone! I've become interested in applying for MWSU for Fall 2015, but I have yet to see any threads about it so I decided to start one myself! Could anyone help me with their point system?

He will be on the waiting list with me as alternates letters go out this week I have my stats final and chem final this week and I already registered for nursing research for fall I am so ready to start but if not I'm okay with spring too! I live here in Wichita but i did apply to other schools UTA, TCC and some college in Dallas like UTD but I want to go here so I will hold off and wait til I get in here

@angieperry yeah the wait is annoying, I need my official acceptance as well

@tiffaniebush letters go out this week? And keep hope because I know in the fall is when a lot of people apply but many do not accept the offer because they accept to go somewhere else. So i know spots will open up for the alternates. I sure a lot of alternates will get in as well because of people declining. I know Cat told me in a email that they went down to 63 last semester and 61 the semester before that so still have good chance. I would just find out what your rank is on the alternate list and go from there and check if you go up on the list

Thank you yea I know but it's like 1500 the first semester for books and then the second semester another 1500 for your nursing pack and books on top of tuition so idk yet what I'm going to do I may just decline fall semester and take intro to nursing and nursing research this fall pay for the 1500 for books that will be about 3500 this fall and then spring pay for assessment and my 1500 for books and take a easy class with it that would be another 3500 then if I start spring I can kind of ease myself into the program lol.

@keunnamonae well said and that's very true too. @tiffiniebush A lot applied, but not all would pass their background check, and not all would be accepting their acceptance. I know when I went up there, to submit my app, Catherine told me that they had to call someone from Alaska to ask, if she would be attending. So don't give up, I believe strongly you would get in. Just be optimistic and be hopeful. All would be well.

@tiffinabush you can't always do that when you get in. You would have to take the classes the way it comes and no choice to pick, which ones you want to. Just saying.. I don't think it's 1500 for books, moreover you can buy used anyways. I have someone in the nursing program selling her 2 first semester books for 100bucks. Declining admission when given, to me is kind of a risk to me. But oh well do what you know it's best for you.

Yeah that is a good idea, you just have to do what is best for you. Hopefully my books won't be that much since I am only taking patho and assessment because I already took intro nursing and statistics at UTA

Yeah I can see where it could be a risk, I mean if you get in I would accept it so you can just get it done.

First semester you have to buy the $500 Hesi online code it's required then the assessment book I think is like 3-500

@lorr your right but and you do have to take the classes in the order they come you can pick but I was talking about the 4 you can take out of the program. Patho, intro, data analysis and research so if I'm not in the program come fall then I can take the two I have not yet taken which are research and intro then when I start in the spring I would only have assessment and its clinical I think

I also highly recommend everyone get the books used because they are so expensive

@tiffiniebush ya I knew you were talking about first year classes. I always buy used books, only way I buy new is if the book comes with a code that we have to get coz it's necessary.
