Midwestern State Fall 2015

Hey everyone! I've become interested in applying for MWSU for Fall 2015, but I have yet to see any threads about it so I decided to start one myself! Could anyone help me with their point system?

@keynnamonae ha that doesn't affect why we shouldn't be told already our ranking though. Maybe because more stud era applied or they changed every thing. The lady that told me, said Catherine has finished ranking but didn't tell her, her rank though.

@lorr19 well when you told me that 200 applied I freaked out and called jeana to at least ask when we would get acceptances and she said that they are finished ranking and that hopefully the committee will meet and we will get letters maybe end next week. Then I asked her if she could tell me my ranking and she actually did, she said I had 69 points(which I already knew) and that I was ranked number 35. So I am fine now and yeah after she told me she was like now do not tell anybody because I will have 200 people calling me and asking. So when she said that I knew 200 people applied, but I am only telling you lol. So if you want to know just call jeana instead and ask really nicely! I think they do not want to be giving 200 people their rank, that is a lot. But hopefully she will get in with her 63 points, maybe people will not accept the offer, I would tell her to just be hopeful

I wonder when we get accepted, will catherine take the advising hold off our account so we can register or will we have to go see her in person to get the hold taken off.

@keynnamonae I just called jeanna and she told me am no 1 wohooooo. All my hard work and sleepless nights weren't in vain. Am so so happy. She was like, don't tell your friends so 200 people don't start calling me oh. Am like thanks and I won't.lol. 200 people is a lot though, but we are in so that's not my business lol. Just so happy we in wohooo. We should meet up at Tcc soon though so we can know ourselves and, do stuff together and at least know have someone going to the nursing program together that I know.

@keunnamonae I think we have to attend nursing orientation first before the hold be lifted and all.

@lorr19 I know this semester I took a wintermester and the spring I took 6 classes so I am happy that wasn't in vain either! I am so excited to start. Yeah I think thats why they do not want to tell people because they do not want to tell 200 people their rank lol. Yeah we need to meet up soon! I will call and ask cathy when she will remove the hold once acceptances go out because I really hope it is not until august cause I think that is when nursing orientation is. I need to register for other classes that are not nursing classes to be full time and I do not want them to fill up and if I have to wait until aug then they will be full. And congratulations on being number 1!

@keunnamonae what classes are do you need to take in addition? There are three nursing classes to take and one statistics class in addition and that's 12credit hours. I only need one class to add to nursing class to be full time. Am just going to take a pe class maybe Zumba or so don't know yet. Did you take any nursing class this semester or before? Lastly I want to go for early transfer orientation soon so I can register for the non nursing class. The nursing classes are on hold for nursing students to register so we be fine. When we get our acceptance letter, we would know when orientation would be. Our hard work finally paid off! So exciting

@lorr19 I only have to take family assessment and patho because I already took intro to nursing and statstics at UTA my freshman year. So I need two filler classes so I am taking the computer class because I havent taken that yet and idk what other class maybe nutrition I want something easy. I am only taking 12 maybe 13 hours if I take a pe class. Yeah I already signed up for one of the MORE(transfer orientation) dates on July 23 because I didnt know if they fill up fast, just wanted to be on the safe side. Yes our hard work did pay off, it is very exciting!

@keunnamonae ha I took statistics already. I just need intro to nursing, family assessment and patho.i heard intro to nursing is easy though. Pe in Msu is 3credit hours. I checked and it is that. Nutrition is a lot of work so I heard, I just need an easy class to add that's all. It seems we the only ones communicating in this forum.lol that's weird though... I put my orientation for June 18th or so can't remember again, not sure would check. I might change it though. I got a letter for housing in the mail(like what to bring or so), did you get that too?

@lorr19 Oh pe is 3 credit hours oh well then I will be taking a pe instead of nutrition then lol. Yeah atleast at UTA intro to nurs was easy so I am pretty sure it will be at midwestern as well. it basically just intruducing you to all the different fields of nursing and what to expect in nursing school. I was going to do June 18 but I had to change it because I have cheer practice that day at midwestern. It is weird that we are the only ones, it was more people a few months ago. Yeah the RHA packet will the checklist and all that, I got it like a day or two ago.
