Hi PACURN11,
MWU faculty is amazing. They are very supportive. During the didactic year, you will meet faculty members who are willing to spend time in the laboratory (in addition to scheduled lab session) to acclimate students to real clinical world scenarios. They have an open-door policy (besides email) if you have any questions or concerns about a lesson. Just remember, the faculty will assist but the students will still do the load. It is going to be a very rigorous first year. Things will remain "rigorous" on your 2nd and 3rd year in a different way. (THIS IS FOR MS in Nurse Anesthesia).
The remaining clinical years are the best! MWU will send you (at least in my experience) to INDEPENDENT CRNA practice clinical sites (60%) and ACT (40%). That is MWU's biggest advantage compared to other programs (based from what I hear from other SRNAs I talked to). Independent practice settings will give you more experience in Peripheral Nerve Block, Neuraxial Anesthesia (Spinal and Epidural), Central Line and Arterial Line Insertions. The big university medical centers (ACT model) will provide you MORE variety with anesthesia cases. So combining both settings will make you all a solid practitioner after school! Goodluck!

WOW ! This was extremely helpful, the information I have gotten about MWU has been limited and I have been trying to dig up more information so that I can make some informed and big decisions. You definitely put my mind at ease, this was amazing, thank you so much for your input !

No problem! I recommend that you guys join the CRNAs and SRNAs group on facebook once you start school and look up MWU SRNA on that FB group. You'll find great posts and feedback about MWU and MWU SRNAs.

I am honestly not updated with the school’s interview process. However, I had a few classmates (initially waitlisted) who got a call for school acceptance as late as April and May. So hang in there.
At this point, the reality is you need to keep on looking for other options. Let me know how it goes. Best of luck! You’ll get it! It is just about the right timing! ?

Thank you for all these helpful information!! I am so excited to be a part of Midwestern University!! I am so excited to live in Arizona!!
Can you also tell us which states they might send us for clinical rotations? During the interview, they mentioned "all over the united states". I am just wondering!
