Thank you for all these helpful information!! I am so excited to be a part of Midwestern University!! I am so excited to live in Arizona!!

Can you also tell us which states they might send us for clinical rotations? During the interview, they mentioned "all over the united states". I am just wondering!

Hey murse66s, no problem and congratulations! It is truly exciting. At this point, make sure you save as much money as you can, although AZ is going to be a little bit more affordable (at least compared to other Western or Eastern states). ?

All the clinical sites (grouped according to US states) can be found in the MWU CRNA program website (unless they changed it). I remember looking at it over and over again out of excitement haha.  You guys will be sent either to WA, CA, NV, Montana, CO, NM, TX, Louisiana, FL and OH. Those are the ones I remember. Prior to clinical placement, you guys will be asked about your preferred state (it will be mainly used as a guide and/or you'll get it if the circumstance permits it). Let me know if you have any more questions.

East coastin,

do you know if they will change your location every term? Or do they try to group your clinical sites in the same state as much as possible? For instance, could you be sent to a completely new state every 3 months, or will they try to keep you in one state for at least a few terms in a row?

Assigning clinical sites is in the hands of the clinical coordinator (but they will weigh in the student's personal needs). Just trust the system and it is going to be worth it! However, your preferred "state" will influence your clinical sites. Prior to the pandemic, SRNAs were assigned to their first 3 clinical sites to give students enough time in fixing their logistics. The last 2 clinical sites will be based on your clinical needs (cases/skill to be completed). IN SHORT, clinical sites will be all over the country. You guys will have 2 weeks off in between the clinical rotations so you'll have time to enjoy traveling ? (Unless they changed it. It used to be just 9-10 days off in between clinical rotations.)

That is MWU's big advantage compared to other programs. Once you guys begin your clinical rotations, you will see how as a MWU SRNA you will stand out compared to other schools (not that there's a competition, REMEMBER we all need to unite as one to deter our political detractors).

I just requested to join it also!

I just got an invite for an interview in the middle of the night last night while at work!  Total surprise! Anyone else? Any words of advice?

When did you apply? I applied since Oct 2020, haven't heard anything.  I called and they said my application is in review. I wonder how long it will be in review.

I actually originally applied in March 2019 and had been waitlisted.

Wow...thats 10 good months. So, you are waitlisted for interview since then? Or you've had interview before and waitlisted for acceptance? This sound like a long wait

I was waitlisted for the 2020 cohort, I never interviewed/got in..., I asked MW If I could resubmit my application for 2021 with updates which they did, to which I was waitlisted again, and just received an invite to interview last night.

Congrats...you deserve to get admission.
