Middle Georgia State University (MGA) Fall 2024

Published

Has any applied to MGU and got accepted? An ICU nurse at my job told me about the program stating she had low test scores and a 2.6 GPA and got accepted into the program. I have a 3.0 overall GPA and a 3.25GPA in my sciences. I applied to southern crescent last year(as they don't have restrictions of the age of sciences) with a HESI A2 score of 82 and didn't get in.  Some of my sciences are expired and I didn't see any restrictions on the school site about expired classes. I noticed they reopened applications to 4/30/24. I applied for the school and sent over my transcripts and rushed to take the TEAS before the deadline but made a 67 on the TEAS. BUMMER. but it's passing and above the required score so I could still apply. I wondered what other who've been accepted looked like.

Yes ! My cohort has about 90 students, the largest yet and although many failed fundamentals last semester between the BSN & ASN program the grading scale changed to make a 74 a passing grade and many BSN students are now taking fundamentals in the ASN program. We have a lot of BSN students in my cohort as well.  I think the ASN program is easier. Plus both programs take the NCLEX. I'd love to ask you some questions about 2nd semester with (MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME - PLEASE DO NOT POST IDENTIFYING INFO ABOUT OTHERS)

Love (MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME - PLEASE DO NOT POST IDENTIFYING INFO ABOUT OTHERS)! I'll answer as best as I can 🙂

Yeaaahhhh I think my cohort is ready to give a negative rating. It's a lot of chaos but we are a big cohort. Can we PM?

Hi, I was just accepted for Fall 2025. I plan on attending ASN classes on the Warner Robins Campus. Do you have any tips or any changes since last year?

Hey! Are you accepted into the school or the ASN or BSN for Fall 2025? I know the extended the deadline to April 30 , so how did you receive an acceptance if you don't mind me asking ?

Hi I was accepted to the ASN program during the 3/31 deadline. The deadline was extended after that.

Okok! Well congratulations! 🎊 🍾 I hope I am accepted as I'm a readmit !

@ANH4774 I wish you luck. Thanks.

Hey anybody know how many days a bsn student goes on campus for class.Im 1 hour and 30 away so Im trying to see if just dorming would be my best bet? Or is making the commute doable has anyone had an experience doing so? Got accepted for bsn fall 2025.

Hi I live about the same amount away but I'm in the ASN program is two days a week. I remember in the info session it was stated that the bsn has more days on campus. A dorm might be nice since you will have three classes and three clinicals during first semester.

okay thank you and those clinicals will be in near by hospitals?

I spoke to one student and theirs was in the Macon area. I'm not sure where we will all end up. The teachers will place us in our clinical sites.

oh my looks like a dorm is my best bet even though I feel a bit silly dorming now when I never did my freshmen or sophmore year but maybe it will be for the best so I can be locked in with no distractions. thank you!! If you have any other information I should know please let me know Im curious and excited.
