Has any applied to MGU and got accepted? An ICU nurse at my job told me about the program stating she had low test scores and a 2.6 GPA and got accepted into the program. I have a 3.0 overall GPA and a 3.25GPA in my sciences. I applied to southern crescent last year(as they don't have restrictions of the age of sciences) with a HESI A2 score of 82 and didn't get in. Some of my sciences are expired and I didn't see any restrictions on the school site about expired classes. I noticed they reopened applications to 4/30/24. I applied for the school and sent over my transcripts and rushed to take the TEAS before the deadline but made a 67 on the TEAS. BUMMER. but it's passing and above the required score so I could still apply. I wondered what other who've been accepted looked like.

Hello! Have you started class yet? I just applied for Spring 2025 if so, how many days a week do you actually class? Is it a lot of lectures and PowerPoint?

Fall hasn't started yet. We have orientation next month. We don't have schedules yet, and won't get clinical schedules until class starts.
@Monise Jai did you ever get clarification about the expired science courses?

Yes, there is no limit to how old the science is. They accepted mine and they were over 10 years old. I got into the ADN 2024 program and start August.
@Monise Jai have you attended orientation yet? If so how was it and do you mind sharing. How many days will you have to attend class.
@Taylor Nelson had a few questions regarding MGA. My GPA is a little low well 2.9 Nursing GPA 3.40 TEAS 87.3. I applied for Spring 2025. Are you done with the program? Wanted to see if you wouldn't mind sharing your experience with me I'm very nervous and waiting,

Hi!
Yes, I applied and got accepted for the ADN program. They admit 300 students a year. 200 in the fall and 100 in Spring. Fall is easier to get into. Class for the ADN is 2 days a week. Lecture on Monday and Lab/Clinical is either Wed/Thurs depending on availability and size. We do lab for the first 10 weeks before doing clinicals on site. Both class and lab end around 2pm; Clinical can be a full 12-hour shift, but that is also once a week. This is for fundamentals, I'm not sure if it changes as the semesters progress. As far as you grades/GPA, you're fine. They accept a 2.5 GPA and a 64 TEAS for ADN, I think it's a 70 for BSN. I bombed the TEAS with a 67(I DID NOT STUDY), I only needed a 64, and my GPA was slightly above 3.0, but everyone who applied got in because it's so many seats and the distance to the school is far compared to other programs in GA. The school admits 300 students a year, so admission is practically guaranteed as long as meet the minimum requirements. It's not that competitive, but I can assume it might be considering more people are finding out about the school and the teachers are great. They host info sessions via Zoom, check the website for dates. Majority of the teachers were students that graduated from the nursing program they now teach. Just APPLY, you have nothing to lose by filling out an application! fingers crossed because Spring admits less students. Although, I'm not sure if they number of students is per degree ADN vs BSN or total for the school. Still, APPLY! If you don't get accepted, apply for fall, you'll most definitely get in!
