Middle Georgia State University (MGA) 2023

Specializes in nursing student.

Hello everyone, hope all is well. I wanted to know if anyone knew about middle georgia and their nursing program? So far, I've had 2 academic advisors refer me to middle georgia being that my schools nursing program is so hard to get into. So Im guessing middle georgia is not that competitive. I've seen stats from others and they were do able. But one thing I can see is the school farrrrrr. Also, do they only have Spring registration??

I'm so sorry I am just seeing this post. I just got accepted into their Spring 2023 program and my stats are:

TEAS: 76

GPA: 3.3

Science GPA: *not really sure of this but I would estimate it to be a 3.6-3.8*

Good luck, I'm sure you'll get in when you apply! It's a good program but definitely not as competitive as other schools.

Hello,

I'm planning on applying there for the Fall 2023 semester. Do you happen to know if they would admit students who are still completing some science courses? I'm currently taking A&P 2.

Yes. As long as you will be finished with the course by the start date.

Hi! I was recently accepted in the BSN program for Fall 2023. Did you end up applying?

Hi there,

I did apply but -------------------- had called me and said I'll still be two prereqs short even after taking Summer classes. I applied to the Fall 2023 ASN instead and got in. Congrats on your acceptance to the Fall 2023 BSN program!!

Do you know how many days you have to go on campus for the BSN?

4 (3 classes and a lab)

I was thinking about attending here at Middle Georgia

Do the school help you?

Do they fail you on purpose?

I heard this school was the easy nursing school but I know that's not true

First semester ASN student from Middle Georgia here. They have a brilliant group of nursing faculty. Only one faculty member is a bit over the top as far as I've heard. I've never been in nursing school before so IDK what to compare to but if it's worth anything, I wouldn't wanna be anywhere else. I drive about 1 hr 40 mins to school and same on the way back. They give you all the resources you need to succeed but you won't make it if you don't utilize them and often enough. Met and get to work with one of my favorite and most dedicated professors I've ever seen.

Easy to get in but staying in the program is all dependent on your efforts and commitment. This school is accredited by the same state board as all else so you're going to have to follow the same standards more or less.
