  1. Love (MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME - PLEASE DO NOT POST IDENTIFYING INFO ABOUT OTHERS)! I'll answer as best as I can ?
  2. I think either route is fine as long as your grades and GPA are decent. Their nursing programs (ASN or BSN) aren't picky as long as you meet and/or exceed the application requirements. I do have to note, though, if you are intending to enter the BSN program that it is best not to work or have other outside, full-time commitments as it is so much more intense in terms of coursework and time management. We have a few people in our cohort who have switched from the BSN to ASN program. They don't let you transfer nursing credits earned from your BSN to the ASN so you have to start over again. I do plan on going back for their online BSN program once I get my RN license this Summer.
  3. Hey! I'm a third semester student about to wrap things up with finals in a couple days. I graduate in May 2025 and I love checking back on here from time to time to see new students and share your excitement! OP is right about the program being organized and the faculty being top-notch. But you gotta put in the work. They use ATI books for the first semester in addition to another textbook from the author Ignatavicius for Med-Surg in the following semesters. I believe they are changing the latter to a different one (Evolve or smth like that) for upcoming cohorts. In terms of scrubs, I sure hope they make it more flexible for ya'll cause I hate it LOL please plan to buy at least one extra pair of scrubs later on because you might gain weight like I did. White, preferably wipeable shoes. The ones at their partner store are pretty uncomfortable. I ditched those and got a pair of white Gales. Still not that comfortable but much better. Keep in mind schedules change each semester but lecture day will only be once a week. Second semester, with Med-Surg and Mental Health, you will have some weeks with 2 separate clinical days on top of the once-a-week lecture day. Same for third semester with Med-Surg and OB/Peds. Glad to know this school is getting more recognition because despite the stress, I feel fully supported to succeed. Best of luck to ya'll!
  4. I'm 100% sure you got in! I applied with 82.3 on my TEAS and still made it. First semester we were there 2 days/week; 1 lecture day in class + 1 clinical day at the hospital. Second semester we were there 3 days/week; 1 lecture day + 2 clinical days. I'm doing my third semester this upcoming fall so I don't know the exact schedule yet. In terms of lectures, you will find certain professors will teach and resonate with you depending on your learning style. I definitely have my favorites. Once entering second semester you'll have pre-recorded lecture videos or voiced over powerpoints to watch and listen to outside of class. These helped me the most in understanding and reinforcing the materials.
  5. First semester ASN student from Middle Georgia here. They have a brilliant group of nursing faculty. Only one faculty member is a bit over the top as far as I've heard. I've never been in nursing school before so IDK what to compare to but if it's worth anything, I wouldn't wanna be anywhere else. I drive about 1 hr 40 mins to school and same on the way back. They give you all the resources you need to succeed but you won't make it if you don't utilize them and often enough. Met and get to work with one of my favorite and most dedicated professors I've ever seen. Easy to get in but staying in the program is all dependent on your efforts and commitment. This school is accredited by the same state board as all else so you're going to have to follow the same standards more or less.
  6. Hi, I got accepted into another ADN program and will be attending there in the fall. Congrats on all who was accepted at Chattahoochee!
  7. Hi there, I did apply but -------------------- had called me and said I'll still be two prereqs short even after taking Summer classes. I applied to the Fall 2023 ASN instead and got in. Congrats on your acceptance to the Fall 2023 BSN program!!
  8. Hello, I'm planning on applying there for the Fall 2023 semester. Do you happen to know if they would admit students who are still completing some science courses? I'm currently taking A&P 2.
  9. Anyone else applying for the Fall 2023 semester at Chattahoochee Tech? I heard last year's cohort was canceled which was a bit discouraging but I wanted to try anyway. Let me know so we can share our stats !
