dont be worried the only thing u can do is try if it is meant to be it will...

Anybody here taking the 2010 exam? I just received my practice exams from CNET. I can't believe it's just 10 pages of 11 X 17 paper, printed double-side, single color, folded and stapled at the middle.

For 15 dollars each I was hoping for a better looking document, at least with a better binding...sigh !

i am a 2005 graduate of the mid-manhattan lpn school in harlem. when i attended the program, financial status was not part of the criteria for acceptance, academic ability was. i was not on welfare or any kind of public assistance when i was accepted. the program that i think some of you may be referring to is the one administered through the new york city health and hospital corporation, some of their program participants do attend the mid-manhattan school.

my classmates came from all walks of life. some were housewives, single-moms or dads, husbands, employed, unemployed. some changed careers (like myself), some were college graduates in their home country. as a matter of fact, one of my classmates was a young woman i graduated from college with in 2001.

i am just writing this to let you all know that program is available to all who desire a career in nursing, and that there are wonderful students there from every walk of life.

give them a call: (212) 666-2116

best of luck!

I was in a RN program, I made it to the 3rd semester and was dropped from the program (long story).

I'm considering taking the LPN path at Mid-Manhattan but I've heard that this program does not offer college credits and that I would not be able to make a bridge to a RN program in the future, I'd have to start over. Is that true? (EG: Laguardia has a LPN to RN bridge. would I be able to trasnfer into that program in the future being a LPN graduate from mid-Manhattan)

Do they assist new grads with job placement at HHC hospitals??

What hospitals do they normally go to for clinicals?? Or do they only go to nursing homes?

Please help!

thanks

Hi Tinkerbell,

I am not able to do a reply, not sure why. Any wayz, RCC transfers upto 32 credits, pre-reqs and nursing I credit. Do it ASAP. They are very good in process. You can start taking classes in winter, their winter session begins Jan 2nd week or something or Spring. Fill out admission form in admission dept and go up to nursing dept and they'll help you. Tell them you are transfer student. You won't have to pay out of state fees also. They have days evening and weekend classes also. Good Luck. Any questions please feel free to ask.

Hi,

I am trying to get into the LPN Program at Goldwater Hospital and had to take a Pre-Tabe test to qualify for the Prep Course which prepares you for the C-Net as well as the TABE A Test. I passed the the Pre Tabe test with the highest possible score (12.9) on NOV 30 which will make me eligable for the prep-course.

My question is , Has anyone received any information about what to do next or when the Prep Class starts?

I tried calling but they never pick up their phone.

Thanks so much!

I just herd about this program and im excited i just sent out my information through email I hope they reply back to me

Hi all,

I am currently in the Brooklyn LPN program and I will say... If you really want to be a nurse in a short time and are able to deal with extreme changes on a daily basis then do it. Time goes by really quick and they do try to work with us.

My advise: send out your application, study hard for the cnet test, keep studying until you pass the TABE (which is given about 2 weeks after passing the cnet) and get all documents in ASAP (when they tell you to) and stay focused.

Also you CAN do the LPN to RN bridge when finished.

Good luck all!

Anybody would like to trade CNET reviewers? Please let me know. I have sets E & M. Thanks :D

im taking my TABE test on saturday.. fingers crossed!!!!

Good Luck!

Are you trying to get into the Prep Classes?
