New grad Home Health - please advise!
Thank you so much guys for your input. I told them that I cannot work for them, because I did not feel comfortable and did not want to risk my license. There was no orientation and training. All they wanted me to complete needs assessment paperwork and caregiver supervision form. No other information about doctor's orders was given to me. There was no RN supervisor in this company that I could call and ask my questions. Also they did not want to reimburse me for the mileage. I got another job offer for RN (state psych facility) and accepted that. Lets see....

New grad Home Health - please advise!
I am a new grad RN who is hired by home health agency PRN. They did not give me decent orientation and no training. They want me to do complete needs assessments on their patients (stable elderly clients). Should I accept this offer or would I be risking my license here. They showed me needs assessment paperwork that previous RNs have done. I also have to complete paperwork for caregivers as a supervisor. Please advise what should I do? I would really appreciate it... I am trying to read posts that have been posted here previosly...

Maryland ANP/FNP clinical preceptor needed!
You could try calling local doctor's office/clinic's and ask them. You can try putting it on craigslist under healthcare section (maryland cities). Just a suggestion!

Please Advise! new grad and telephone disease mgmt job
Hi guys, I am a new grad and I just got an offer for chronic telephone disease management. It is a contract job. Happy but worried. I have a concern. Would it make it hard for me to find a job in acute care setting once I do telephone triage? Were any of you able to get a job in hospital after your experience in this field? Please advise, any suggestions would be of much help! Thank you so much!

This one is part-time and full-time program http://www.sunyrockland.edu, it has day, evenings and weekend classes and clinicals. It has few online classes too. It is located in Suffern, NY. You could transfer classes that are upto 10 years old. Good luck

Mid manhattan/brooklyn adult lpn
Hi Tinkerbell, I am not able to do a reply, not sure why. Any wayz, RCC transfers upto 32 credits, pre-reqs and nursing I credit. Do it ASAP. They are very good in process. You can start taking classes in winter, their winter session begins Jan 2nd week or something or Spring. Fill out admission form in admission dept and go up to nursing dept and they'll help you. Tell them you are transfer student. You won't have to pay out of state fees also. They have days evening and weekend classes also. Good Luck. Any questions please feel free to ask.

My nursing dreams are over . I failed.
Hi TinkerBell You live in NY? I replied earlier may be you didn't see my post. Since you live in NY, why don't you transfer to SUNY Rockland Community College. They accept transfer students (NUR-I Fundamentals) and then you start from NUR II and also they allow you to split NUR courses in two parts, that way it's not a lot of pressure. for more information: http://www.sunyrockland.edu please check it out, and let me know if you have any questions...

My nursing dreams are over . I failed.
I am really sorry to hear that. well, were you in ADN or BSN program? Contact other colleges that transfer first semester of nursing (NUR I), that way you won't have to repeat NUR I. Where do you live? I know one college that takes transfer students from other colleges who have finished first semester of nursing, RCC (Rockland Community College, Suffern, NY). www.sunyrockland.edu or try other local colleges in your area or you could do LPN in one year, if you don't wana wait and then do part time RN. Good Luck dear!
