  1. I cannot call myself a new grad anymore because I graduated last April 2010. A year has passed an I still don't have a RN job. I passed my NCLEX, took up BLS, ACLS, PALS, IV Therapy, ECG & Pharmacology certs. so I can be more marketable, but I'm still begging for a job. I live in NJ, and have licenses have been endorse to another 2 states, CA & TX. I've applied for about 250 positions...you name it from hospitals, LTC, Rehab, Clinics, Assisted Living, Agencies, Hospice. Got 6 interviews, 3 from hospitals and 3 from LTC, been to Nursing Career Fair, and no positive reply from those. I'm loosing hope. I just keep on praying. Any thoughts? Am I the only one on this boat?:confused::confused::crying2::crying2:
  2. I think that's just life, and you have to deal with it. You are lucky you have a hospital job, I've been unemployed for 2 months since receiving my NJ license. I'm dying to get a spot in a hospital because it's really hard for me, i'm an international graduate last April 2010. Do things that will help you relax.
  3. I agree with suns. I did not take my NLE, and at first it's hard. I recommend you read the Kaplan strategy book, read La Charity for prioritization because NCLEX have increased Management of Care this Year, I recommend Feuer for content and Know the Precaution stuff. I hope this helps you.
  4. If you pass, you apply for reciprocity to be RN on Vermont. I know the cali won't forward the requirements you passed, because you filed the application on their board. You don't need those requirements if you already pass. My sister passed the Cali and had the reciprocity to be licensed on Jersey. Goodluck! God bless!
  5. Thanks for the encouragement. I dont get really high scores too in my qbank and qtrainers. I hope to pass too
  6. This really works even an hour after the exam?
  7. the comma, comma rule means if 1 thing on the choice given is wrong although the others are correct, it is still incorrect. just relx, dont over study the day before. Goodluck!
  8. Wow congrats, you're just like my friend after the boards he's preparing for the NCLEX too. I'll take mine in 8 days. I also graduated last April. I took Kaplan, the live lecture is not as boring as the video. I recommend La Charity, they got so much delegation questions harder than Kaplan and study meds, coz they got much of uncommon meds that are not available in Pinas.
  9. Good luck! I am a new foreign grad that would take NCLEX in 10days! God Bless us all!
  10. Goodluck! I'm taking mine in 10 days! any advice??? I took also Kaplan for review. They really did had an increase on delegation this year. yikes!
  11. So you are from New Jersey?? I am taking my NCLEX in 10 days!I am so nervous! I took Kaplan last August, It help me on strategies in picking the right answer, but I know that if I did not study the nursing content before my live lecture days, I won't appreciate the strategies they're teaching. My sister did the Rutgers review, she said their review focus more on the nursing content. She did pass first time having 75 questions. Our Mom, bought us the Feuer Nursing Review, it's a bit pricey, but my sister and I agree that it's a lot of help for us because we are both international graduates. I got an advice that just be confident, evaluate yourself if you are really ready to take it and tons of prayer. I hope we pass :)
  12. Thanks for the advice pips! I really appreciate it! I will let you know how did I do on my NCLEX. Yikes! Everyone who took Kaplan said their questions are harder than NCLEX, I hope so, because I know for sure that no matter question they would ask me, I should hit the right answer for them to evaluate me as a safe future RN. God bless to all of you :)
  13. i really want this to be over, I've been studying for 5 months. It's pretty exhausting but i hope to pass and wont resched.
  14. I am down to 2 weeks before taking my NCLEX. I'm getting nervous by the minute. I finished my Qbank on Kaplan and average of 57%, and ranging from 56-76%. I know it's low but I really try my hardest in answering those questions, it's very challenging. and I got 66% on my readiness exam. With these scores, do you think I can pass the NCLEX for the first time? HELP
