  1. Hello, School is from 9:00am- 4:00pm Mon. - Fri. The website cnetnurse.com has a book from their company that you can use to study for the entrance exam. Applications are avail. online and at the schools starting November 1st.
  2. Hi, I went to BALC (Brooklyn site) there is no college degree required. Check cnetnurse.com for detailed info on the program. The course was worth my time. I am now an LPN and will go back to school this year for RN. www.cnetnurse.com Hope it helps.
  3. Hi, yes I also did that. Best of luck.
  4.:hug:Hi smith1, I used saunders nclex pn review, lippincott's review and Kaplan a little just for strategy... in addition, keep ur Drug guide and Taber's encyclopedia as reference for what u need to research. Try to do @ least 100 questions from the study guide CD's (saunder's and lippincott). Good luck. study for 5 days and 2 days off!...
  5. Hey NurseGuy1, which site are in @? Brooklyn, mid manhattan or Goldwater?
  6. Hey Allie, ur most welcome. Wish u the best of luck on your short but challenging journey through the school year. There may be times when u want to give up or hear others speaking negativity, but hold ur head and keep moving. Any questions or advise needed just message me. I know if I did it, many others can!!
  7. Hi guys!! All of u congrats for getting into the LPN program. I was @ the brooklyn school last year. It's lots of work and determination, however u have to focus and get through it any way that u can. I graduated in June and just passed my nclex ... so now I'm just waiting for my license and will look for work until it's time to go back in April for my RN!!! Best of luck guys :balloons:
  8. pearson trick "works" hrs after submission of the test, however u are not guarenteed to get the results that u want. It's best to pay for the results 48 hrs after submission.
  9. Hello all, I have just taken the nclex-pn on thurs. sept 9, 2010 and my computer shut off @ 85 questions, which I was praying that it did not. I was sure that I had failed and said it to everyone that I know. I had about 12 SATA, 3 dosage, 3 pharm, lots of priority and infection control. However, after lots of stress and tears. Today, september 11, 2010 @ 2:30 pm I have passed my nclex pn. Thank you God!!! Never give up people.
  10. Hi all, I am currently in the Brooklyn LPN program and I will say... If you really want to be a nurse in a short time and are able to deal with extreme changes on a daily basis then do it. Time goes by really quick and they do try to work with us. My advise: send out your application, study hard for the cnet test, keep studying until you pass the TABE (which is given about 2 weeks after passing the cnet) and get all documents in ASAP (when they tell you to) and stay focused. Also you CAN do the LPN to RN bridge when finished. Good luck all!
  11. Hey, I'm not sure how the mid-manhattan school functions, but I'm in the brooklyn school and the are fast paced and all over the place, but overall I'm happy to be in the program. The fees are $2400 for the 10 month program, no prereq. besides HS diplomas/GED. Some teachers are ok and some are just over the wall, but I would advise you to take the test later this year if interested. They are the cheapest in NY, NJ.... and of course accredited. so...... Hope this helps.
  12. wow. Thanks for the info. I was wondering when their street cleaning days were.
  13. Hi, all. Does anyone have the info. for the SBS sponsorship program. The flyers were offered at registration, but I forgot to take one. Thanks.
  14. Hey Po kas, sorry I took so long to respond. There was mention of the SBS sponsorship--it's for people with healthcare experience. The goldwater program is something else. The SBS applies to manhattan and brooklyn for people in healthcare exp. Yeah just regular rough scrubs AND wait until we do clinicals. LOL. Are you a female??? If you are we are going to be embarrassed by what we have to wear (so we've been told by the HEAD LADY). By the way how was your registration?
  15. Also, Po kas Do you have the website info. for SBS sponsership?
