Microbiology this summer

Anyone taking Micro this summer? I thought we could check in with each other to see how we are doing. I like it so far. How about you?

Well congrats again! Mind if I ask where you're going to school? I'm beginning at Community College in Philly.

Nope I don't mind! I am going to the University of Akron College of Nursing, where I have done all my prereqs and now my core classes. Good luck again

SO, I had a scary situation:

First lab practical in micro was pretty easy, I got a 97, the second one was the other day and I thought, based on my experience with the first practical, that I was prepared.

NOTE: This was my fault. It was not the fault of the instructor or the exam he gave. Preparation is the student's responsibility.

I was not adequately prepared or focused; I scored 72. I was devastated. I had never gotten a grade that low on any exam. This is a progress class for my program so, of course I was terrified that I was going to lose my seat for the fall. I lost sleep.

So the last two components of the class were graded yesterday, the procedure and identification as well as the lab book. I am so relieved. I did very well and am hopeful that I have salvaged at least an A- in the course.

WHEW!

I am so bummed. I can't seem to bump my grade enough to get an A. How is everyone doing. What grade do you have? Are you enjoying the class? I know I am.

I just finished my micro class. I got an 89 on my final exam, my final class grade was a B. Im glad its over and i guess im happy with that grade. Now i have august off, then stats in the fall!

Our last test is on Tuesday, and then I will be done. I have an A so far, and hopefully I will be able to get an A on this last exam too. I really enjoyed this class as well. I thought the labs were fun, and learning about all the different diseases has been very interesting.

:lol2:i have my final exams monday and wednesday (lecture monday and lab wednesday)! i can't wait to finish! these are my last prerequisites!!! it only took me 10 years. lol. i had a few stops a long the way; got married, bought a house, had two kids... now all i have to do is wait "anxiously" for my acceptance letter. :uhoh3: it has been great chatting with all of you this summer.:lol2:
