Micro tomorrow!

Published

Wish me luck, don't really know if I'm prepared, but I just want it over with. I'm so over microbiology, I could puke! I hope the real test isn't as bad as the practice test. I got a 60 on the B form. I go over everything and think I have it and then I get to the questions and the way they word things throws me off.

honestly, it's probably going to be a couple weeks now. I work the rest of this week, only have next Weds off, and I have 3 appts that day already. Probably two monday's from now. Guess I better get an A with the extra time!

Haha yeah..

YAY!!! So glad they worked with you and you won't have to pay again! Good luck on the test and have a great day.

what did you use to study for micro...and how often/how long have u studied?

Im currently reading the whole (yes all 42 chapters) of the Excelsior Microbiology study guide and I do the practice exams at the end. I did both EC practice exams and Im studying those also. I also bought sg101 and am studying that as well. And whatever confuses me I refer to my "Microbiology Demystified" book because I find it simplifies things better than all the other material. Oh and I bought Lisa Arends notes to Microbiology from ebay as well.. I use google search too... and I always look up the etymology of the words that I dont understand which usually turn out to be of Greek origin weirdly enough.. Let's see.. am I missing anything?? lol.. Hopefully my obsessiveness lands me an A...

Sounds like you're on track for that A. :) I actually enjoyed reading Micro Demystified! It was a really great little book.

okay so i am gonna walk through this fear and take my micro exam, did anyone use the chancellors study guide.

I'm taking mine on Saturday. I've been using vangonotes, study group, cliff notes and microbiology demystified. I didn't do so hot on the practice tests, but I think I'll be ok. I hope.

good luck, i am not taking until april, haven't tried the practice test yet.

Specializes in ICU.

I used "The College Networks" module for it (borrowed, not paid for!!!) and thought the test was pretty straight forward. Know the material, you'll pass the test :)
