Hey everyone, I got my "happy letter" today! I'm so thrilled! Anyone else with me?

hey lunden what was ur GPA and did you complete all of ur classes at wcccd or complete them all period? Just wondering so I'll know what will at least qualify me as an alternate.

3.5 and 3.4, yes all my prereqs r finished and i took them all at wccc plus 13 years spent as a dialysis tech. good luck!!

I was accepted in!!!!! So does anyone know what the lowest accepted GPA was? had a 3.6. Now to get all the medical requirements done. So if anyone has any low cost places I can go to (for Titer, measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, Hepatitis boosters, 10 panel drug test, physical exam, and TB test) please share. I have no insurance, so it will be cash paid out. Thanks, Congrats to all!!!!

I got my happy letter too! I didn't think I would because it was my first time applying and my GPA is only a 3.5. However, I have 80 credits at WCCC. Congrats to all, we can relax for now... The road ahead won't be easy!

Hey Lunden nice to hear from you, Thanks for asking if I got in, but I didn't apply. I started Brown Mackie's LPN program and have 7 months to go now. I am just going to gom to OCC and do their TPN program and I just recently found out that OCC now has a 1 year LPN-RN program and are accepting Brown Mackie students. I am kind of disappointed now, because I probably could have got in because I retook psy and that made me have a 3.6 GPA, but I'll just look at it like I will be able to start working next year as a LPN making decent money, while I do an accelerated program. But good luck to you LPN or RN school it is very rough.

nice going! i was shocked to even be an alternate. with their up and down gpa who knew what wccc was expecting. but def. keep in touch:)

hey, just thought i would post back on being picked as an alternate. i got a letter sent saying that if i don't get a spot for fall 09, i'll def. have a spot 4 spring 10, so good luck 2 all of us !!! c everybody at orientation!!:yeah:

I am in the program right now you won't believe how many people drop out... They just don't know what there getting into i guess :) So if your an alternative your going to be fine... :chuckle

I got in!!! congrats everyone! I look forward to spending the next two years of my life with you, ha. If ne one needs cheap healthcare they just opened a clinic in taylor based of your income, i paid 20 dollars for my titers and physical and only 30 for my tb test, the number is 734 -941-4991

Hey everyone who started in Aug of 2009! How are things going for you now? I am finishing OB and starting MS2 in just a couple weeks! I am so happy time seems to be going by quickly. We lost a LOT in our MS1 class, and I am so afraid of MS2 now! How is that going, are you losing any? Pharm for the summer, looking forward to a reduced class load! Not sure how many are taking it now, I heard most take it in the summer!

Congrats to everyone that got in. I applied this month and won't know my status until the end of May or early June. Could anyone tell me what the atmosphere is like. I was told its like bootcamp and that the instructors are not pleasant and that out of 120 students, that only about a fourth graduate. What exaclty is ms1 and ms2? I want to know what to expect ahead of time so that I can prepare myself mentally.

I'm in the same boat as nurs101 and am patiently waiting for my letter (happy or otherwise). I'm dying to know what that first semester is like!
