Miami Dade College Spring 2015 RN Program

Hi all!

I wanted to start a thread for all of the Spring 2015 MDC RN applicants. I finally finished all of my pre-req's, and have started studying for the NLN PAX RN exam. I am hoping this thread, like many other MDC threads of the past, can help us all to build friendships, support one another, and most importantly, help us through this difficult process. Welcome! :)

I'm 100% positive because I originally took my sciences in FIU but I got mostly B's and C's. Then I retook all of them (except one lab) during one semester at MDC (crazy semester). I got all A's and an A- in a lab. And now when I look at me degree audit the science GPA is supposedly 3.94.
how where you able to retake them?

I try to retake my chemistry cause I got a C and they did not let me.

I took it the first time in FIU and then I took at miami dade while still going to FIU. Why would they not let you take the class? The only explanation I could think of might be financial aid? No idea.

The only way Miami dade will let you retake a class is if you had a D but if you got C they won't let you, you just went and registered?

Same here. I want to do full-time but I have to look @ the schedule 1st. I still want to work. Although it's not recommended I did it in LPN school & still managed excellent grades.

Yeah I'll go Monday to ask first thing in the morning I would go tomorrow but I'm not in Miami if u know anything let me know please!

You have to appeal to retake classes with a C or better. Go to advisement & they'll gave you the form. If the SON approves it you can take the classes. I had to do this with A&P 1&2. I took them in high school & they were over 10 yrs so I had to repeat them.

I had chemistry like a year ago I doubt they'll approve it.
