Miami Dade College Spring 2015 RN Program

Published

Hi all!

I wanted to start a thread for all of the Spring 2015 MDC RN applicants. I finally finished all of my pre-req's, and have started studying for the NLN PAX RN exam. I am hoping this thread, like many other MDC threads of the past, can help us all to build friendships, support one another, and most importantly, help us through this difficult process. Welcome! :)

Hey guys!

Ariel, I am looking into Florida Keys Community College.

I was looking at that, and my friend told me to stay away from there :/ I dk if that helps

Well I applied yesterday too, and the advisor didn't give me too much detail about the gpa, she mentioned the 2.5 gpa and that's it, but as arielmosley said, since gpa is the only requirement, we should be expecting many people applying. Well there is nothing else to do but keep our options open (check what other universities have to offer) and hope for the best. sperkyperk I haven't check Florida Keys Community College, but first of all make sure is well accredited like CCNE and the Florida Board of Nursing.

I see that they are approved by the Florida State Board of Nursing. I am going to check other credentials and some reviews. My friend, who is in the program right now, claims it is a great program. I will let you all know what I find out.

Did she tell you why?

Ok, FKCC isn't CCNE accredited because it is an ASN program. It isn't ACEN accredited like MDC, but neither is NSU or Barry. Does anyone have any info on FKCC that they can share with me?

Well for you guys who are thinking about Barry try out Nova as well. None of you guys GPAs seem bad at all... It all depends on the amount of people applying. Does anyone know how many people are accepted into each program. A lot of people don't know that Homestead Campus has an RN program also
