Hi all!
I wanted to start a thread for all of the Spring 2015 MDC RN applicants. I finally finished all of my pre-req's, and have started studying for the NLN PAX RN exam. I am hoping this thread, like many other MDC threads of the past, can help us all to build friendships, support one another, and most importantly, help us through this difficult process. Welcome! :)
Hey guys! Every one of us is a little anxious and expectant of those acceptance letters or e-mails. It's true that nursing is a hard program of study, it will require almost all of our time and energy, sleep deprivation and stress. We know we are getting in a tough path.... 1 year and 4 months of extreme sacrifices. So, chin up!! Because we have chosen to be nurses and we will be nurses one way or the other. Good luck everybody :)
Science gpa: 3.24 overall gpa: 3.36

Thank you Pikachu for the update. You are amazing at finding hidden information... Lol
Guys and Girls I think I may have a method of knowing if we are accepted into the program, before the emails start going out. I need more people to test it. Go to your degree audit and select the first option ( Primary declared major), when the audit comes up look in the beginning where it says Program Status... Active... Pgm Admit Statutus: Y.
This should be an indication that we are indeed admitted in the first round of emails. I would like to have some of you test this out and see what you get in there. Also I would like to have control subjects that are not yet applying to the program this semester, and have them check to see if they see these parameters. If all is like I theorize we can know ( not a 100%) if we are in!! I guess when you are bored and anxious these things happen... lol
Also you can start checking some schedules and times for the nursing classes. Just go like if you were to register for a normal class but put the nursing class codes, NUR xxxx. It can help you plan so you can register fast during the orientation registration period. Good luck to you all!!
