Miami Dade College Spring 2015 RN Program

Published

Hi all!

I wanted to start a thread for all of the Spring 2015 MDC RN applicants. I finally finished all of my pre-req's, and have started studying for the NLN PAX RN exam. I am hoping this thread, like many other MDC threads of the past, can help us all to build friendships, support one another, and most importantly, help us through this difficult process. Welcome! :)

And the cum gpa that they took was of all the classes that I have taken including my english classes since O had to study english first. It was 3.37 cum gpa

Lilian your science GPA is great. I have a 2.79 and not much hope. I really don't want to retake micro I got a C. I'm going to apply Jan 2015 for both term part time and full time. Good luck.

Hello All,

Just finished my pre requisistes and going to apply tomorrow. I have a 3.3 cum gpa and a 3.73 science gpa. I hope this is good enough my anxiety is off the charts. :/

What does everyone else have so far for gpa?

Good luck to everyone!

Congratulations on finishing your pre-reqs. You have a great GPA for application.

My Science GPA is 4.0

My Cumulative GPA is 3.91

Gonna apply this week to both Generic Fulltime and Part Time track.

Good luck. I'm really scared cause I have as commutative gpa 3.05 and science gpa it's kind of weird cause I have credits that were counting towards my pre med application. I did most of the pre med credits and then changed to nursing so my science gpa it's very low 2.98. I'm not sure if they are going to just get all the classes that apply to the criteria for nursing and just count them or they'll just go by that gpa which includes my pre med classes that I didn't do so well. Sorry for the long post. Good luck to all of you guys applying

Great GPAs by the way!!! Part time is only available for the Fall Semester so you would have to apply to Full time only

Am i the only one with not a good GPA :(

?

Wooops, forgot about that. Then Fulltime it is.

I hope my GPA is enough to get in. Competition is gonna be fierce this semester because there is no entrance exam.

Dont give up! Try to talk to an advisor, and find if you can retake classes. Also ask them any other routes you may take in order to get in. Accelerated option, Bridge , etc.

You should always keep your hopes up!

Do you have the Nursing Preselect as your major in the system? If so go to your degree audit, using your primary declared major, in the bottom it should say your cumulative GPA. Whatever it says should be it. I will ask when i go apply and let you know how the Cumulative is calculated.
