Miami Dade College Spring 2015 RN Program

Published

Hi all!

I wanted to start a thread for all of the Spring 2015 MDC RN applicants. I finally finished all of my pre-req's, and have started studying for the NLN PAX RN exam. I am hoping this thread, like many other MDC threads of the past, can help us all to build friendships, support one another, and most importantly, help us through this difficult process. Welcome! :)

If you get a chance take Anatomy 2 with Dr. Elena Ruso, she is a great professor and will work with you to make sure you understand.

I have so far my anatomy 1 both A and my chemistry both A and human growth with A. Only one C from math. And the rest of my sciences I'm taking it next semester

That C in math wont affect you too much, your Science GPA counts as 60% of admission points. Overall GPA its worth 40% of admission criteria. So you have a leg up if you ace all your Science pre-reqs.

What are everyone's grades for the sciences

I got A in all of them. Chemistry and Microbiology almost got a B but ended pulling and A by a hair at the end. Got a B on speech.

What about you?

I have a 2.79 science GPA and I'm about to cry :( It's bc a while back I got a C in Micro and a C in Anatomy II Lab. The rest are As and Bs.

Hi,

She teaches on Baptist Hospital classroom. Is near Kendall Campus. I think if you select Kendall as the campus to look up classes it should show up.

Talk to an Advisor on the Medical Campus. Ask them if you can retake those classes to raise your GPA.

Finally I applied to the program, she said my gpa's were quite good and hopefully will have a chance to get in (I wish I could get in) and that for this term is very competitive because people from different colleges are applying because of the removal of the entrance exam and after sept 1st start checking the mdc email twice a day.

And the cum gpa that they took was of all the classes that I have taken including my english classes since O had to study english first. It was 3.37 cum gpa
