Miami Dade College Spring 2015 RN Program

Hi all!

I wanted to start a thread for all of the Spring 2015 MDC RN applicants. I finally finished all of my pre-req's, and have started studying for the NLN PAX RN exam. I am hoping this thread, like many other MDC threads of the past, can help us all to build friendships, support one another, and most importantly, help us through this difficult process. Welcome! :)

Hi lilian, i've been reading your porst about the nursing program at mdc adn I think theyre very helpful. I'm glad they took the test out but I'm not done with my pre reques until december 14, so this fall I'm not very sure when should I apply for the program. Anyways I hope all of you guys get in. I still have to do the intro to health care class

You cant apply until you finish your Intro to healthcare class. When are you taking that class?

I hope you guys know that if any of you are registered medical assistant or certified medical assistant or Lpn you can be exempt from the class. Anyway I suggest for you guys to take that class online is super easy.

Hi acorrales002, its great that you find our posts helpful. If you are missing intro to health care you wont be able to apply for spring only for the fall. If you have any question feel free to ask

Thank you. I'm gonna take intro to health care online now on the fall. So that means that I can apply for the spring semester?

That is right, you need to have all the pre-requisites done before sept 1st. But you can go and talk to an advisor to get more info or on Monday when I go to apply I can ask that question for you and let you know on Monday

Thank you. Yeah I believe it's that way. I went 3 months ago and spoke to one of them over at the medical campus and she told me that I had to be done by sept 1st. Which I'm gonna be done by December so I get to apply for the fall 2015 instead but that's okay. It kind of suck cause you're backed up but I guess it's fine. Thanks a lot

You wont be able to apply to the Spring 2015 sequence because your class finishes on December. Like others said the deadline is Sept 1st. But register for the class and approach an advisor on the medical campus and ask if you can apply with just that class left. Maybe they say no, but maybe yes. Its worth a try.

I have so far my anatomy 1 both A and my chemistry both A and human growth with A. Only one C from math. And the rest of my sciences I'm taking it next semester
