Miami Dade College Spring 2015 RN Program

Published

Hi all!

I wanted to start a thread for all of the Spring 2015 MDC RN applicants. I finally finished all of my pre-req's, and have started studying for the NLN PAX RN exam. I am hoping this thread, like many other MDC threads of the past, can help us all to build friendships, support one another, and most importantly, help us through this difficult process. Welcome! :)

After two years of waiting I finally get the call of my life. Miami Dade called me to accept me into their Full-time Bridge Program. The anxiety of waiting has taken over my life but the joy I feel is amazing

Congrats! But if you don't mind me asking: Why did you wait 2 years for a call? Why not have applied to BC? There's no waiting list like before.

I applied Spring of 2013 and when i didn't get accepted I figured I would hive it another try later. Plus Miami Dade has a bridge for RMA, and Workforce will pay for my schooling. I also was homeschooling my 4yr got the pass two years. This semster I started at FAU working on my bachelor's in Neuroscience so when I applied I didn't give it too much thought because I had a back-up plan. Most importantly BCC originally accepted students with a 3.0 gpa and that was something I didn't have. This pass year that gpa was lowered.

Besides me starting next year worked perfect because now I have two kids in school and don't have to pay for daycare or a sitter.

Idk what an RMA is, but Workforce One (CareerSource) pays for my schooling as well. Well, glad it worked out for the best. :)
