Miami Dade College Spring 2015 RN Program

Hi all!

I wanted to start a thread for all of the Spring 2015 MDC RN applicants. I finally finished all of my pre-req's, and have started studying for the NLN PAX RN exam. I am hoping this thread, like many other MDC threads of the past, can help us all to build friendships, support one another, and most importantly, help us through this difficult process. Welcome! :)

I haven't received anything yet either! I'm becoming so anxious.. Hopefully we hear something today.

FYI about the drug screening: originally, the website said the drug screening have to be in a sealed envelope and submitted to american data bank. Now it doesn't say that anymore, so we just upload it to the site. I was going crazy thinking where to mail it and if I had to upload AND mail it. But now that I went on the website I see they changed it. I originally had the steps printed out so I figured I'd point out the change here in case anyone else was going through the same confusion.

When you go to MDC to do your drug test they give you a sealed copy and a copy for your record

I didn't do my drug test at MDC, I'm doing it at quest.

What I was saying is that it looks like we don't need a sealed copy anymore. We just upload it to the site according to the instructions

I don't know but when I went today they gave nee two copies one for the online/my personal records and another to hand in...

That is strange that they gave you a sealed copy, because I had actually called the School of Nursing to clarify, and they told me that there is no need to hand in a sealed envelope. They assured me that uploading it into the ADB is all we need to do. Lets hope the person knew what she was talking about :)...
