Hi all!
I wanted to start a thread for all of the Spring 2015 MDC RN applicants. I finally finished all of my pre-req's, and have started studying for the NLN PAX RN exam. I am hoping this thread, like many other MDC threads of the past, can help us all to build friendships, support one another, and most importantly, help us through this difficult process. Welcome! :)
nurse_bee I just wanted to know if it's really necessary to buy the scrubs from medical campus bookstore. I have read previews threads where they say that during Orientation this is highly emphasized, but since it's cheaper in other places... Do they really pay attention to the color of the scrubs?
you'll want to pick all your classes from the same sequence (and of course semester). don't be surprised if they drop all your classes the day of orientation and make you choose again.
Oh my!! Thanks , I sure hope they do not do that . Planning ,I'm sure like others around childcare etc ..
You can get the scrubs from anywhere, you just need to get it embroidered. Not sure how much that runs for. Personally, I just bought the tops from the book store and pants elsewhere.p.s. don't bother buying a labcoat
Thank you so much nurse_bee !!! Geez everything is so expensive, I haven't started and I'm broke already? Well I'm going to check the tops tomorrow at the bookstore and I'm going to visit the store next to the medical campus, oh and I have read about a nursing bag also, like $100... Oh my !!!
Well, they did exactly that the day of orientation, and only after orientation, registration was possible
Yes, just tried to register according to the email I received as to when my registration appointment was. The system did not allow me to do so. Unfortunately, I think that is just a general email that is always sent out to every student each semester. Silly me, the email came in on the same day as my acceptance, so I thought it was related. I will call the school tomorrow just in case.
