Miami Dade College Spring 2016 nursing program admission

Updated:   Published

Good morning/night to all who are reading this,

I created this post in the hopes that all applicants applying for the nursing program at Miami dade submit their experience they have had so far and also submit any questions they might have. I'm currently applying for the accelerated option but would like to hear what others are doing in the part time and generic option. A little about me is that I have a BSN in health science (2014) and have taken all the prerequisites with the exception of A&P 2 (which I am retaking in summer b June 22).

Right now my biggest concern is the hesi a2 exam we have to take and making sure i ace it because my science gpa is not so hot right now. I have read prior posts and it seems like A&P is the most challenging section. Has anyone taken it as yet? Your advice would be greatly appreciated. Also I'm worried that after they evaluate my degree they might not take my science subjects and make me re do them ? ? . Has any one's transcript been evaluated yet?

What do you mean how many classes you need for your BSN

When you finished your Rn you can do the bachelor. I register for these classes that are toward the nursing bachelor nutrition and micro lab. I know that I also need stadistics and sociology but I want to know how many more I need

Ohh okay yeah I'm planning to do the BSN as well. I was just confused by your response

I am trying to do something while I wait for the acceptance letter (hope) so I register 2 classes for the fall micro lab and nutrition but I want to go to the medical to know how many I need not for now but for the bachelor after I finish my AS.I have an AA so I want to make sure that I didn't take those classes already

These clases are prerequisites for the BSN, and you can do it on the fall or when you want psicology, nutrition, stadistics, micro lab, sociology

Oh okay yeah that's a good idea for you to do! I have nothing left to do but wait -.- I already finished all those classes. I was gonna go to FIU and work on my BS in biology but that really doesn't make sense. So I'm just gonna relax this semester and work a lot of over time lol

I don't work so I need to have my mind busy or I will go crazy waiting :(

I called so they could check to see if I got the right email on file and they were so rude... Will they send my acceptance letter if the one in the application paper wrong?,

I heard that the classes are from Monday to Thursday

You will need Nutrition, Statistics, Social Enviroment and Philosophy, not sure about micro

lab. I'm also taking classes for fall, but I did not applied to the program.

Hi, did you do the hesi and applied for spring?

I know a girl in the program now and she has Mondays off for generic full time
