Miami Dade College Spring 2016 nursing program admission

Updated:   Published

Good morning/night to all who are reading this,

I created this post in the hopes that all applicants applying for the nursing program at Miami dade submit their experience they have had so far and also submit any questions they might have. I'm currently applying for the accelerated option but would like to hear what others are doing in the part time and generic option. A little about me is that I have a BSN in health science (2014) and have taken all the prerequisites with the exception of A&P 2 (which I am retaking in summer b June 22).

Right now my biggest concern is the hesi a2 exam we have to take and making sure i ace it because my science gpa is not so hot right now. I have read prior posts and it seems like A&P is the most challenging section. Has anyone taken it as yet? Your advice would be greatly appreciated. Also I'm worried that after they evaluate my degree they might not take my science subjects and make me re do them ? ? . Has any one's transcript been evaluated yet?

I checked this at 11pm

Hey so my science gpa is a 3.53 and the first time I took the hesi which was on July 13 I failed and got a 62 and I took it again on aug 19 and I got a 72.29 so I'm really nervous I am not going to get accepted :/ but praying I do !

Welcome !!! To our treat thanks for sharing.I got 74 on the test and 3.73 gpa.I hope we all get in, how many people did the test with you and what the advisor told you?

Do you guys know what the schedule for generic would be?? Like from what time to what time and the days of the week??

I don't think anybody knows any of that information yet

Oh well I figured someone would know from previous students or current students. I don't think the schedule varies too much from the previous classes..

For spring there's no generic part time right

Nope only full time

Ohh I figured, cause I know in previous years they've had both full time and part time

Enicholsenx33 are you applying for generic, accelerated or bridge. How was the admission office yesterday?

I applied for generic full time starting this jan 2016 and I did it around 6 pm so it wasn't busy at all. I waited only a few minutes to see an advisor then I filled out the application then went up to the 2nd fl to pay and then went back to see the advisor and finalized everything. He said by oct 1st to start checking my email and til the end of November

one more week and the wait begins.. am going back to the medical campus tomorrow because I feel like I put the wrong email on the application
