Miami Dade College Spring 2016 nursing program admission

Updated:   Published

Good morning/night to all who are reading this,

I created this post in the hopes that all applicants applying for the nursing program at Miami dade submit their experience they have had so far and also submit any questions they might have. I'm currently applying for the accelerated option but would like to hear what others are doing in the part time and generic option. A little about me is that I have a BSN in health science (2014) and have taken all the prerequisites with the exception of A&P 2 (which I am retaking in summer b June 22).

Right now my biggest concern is the hesi a2 exam we have to take and making sure i ace it because my science gpa is not so hot right now. I have read prior posts and it seems like A&P is the most challenging section. Has anyone taken it as yet? Your advice would be greatly appreciated. Also I'm worried that after they evaluate my degree they might not take my science subjects and make me re do them ? ? . Has any one's transcript been evaluated yet?

You could just call them and they will check for you

You sure cause I asked my adviser but she said I had to come in and check... that would be so good to not have to drive all the way over there

Yeah I would just call the front desk and ask to verify the email that is on file on your nursing app

And I am now hopping to get into the program and thinking about my job what to do meanwhile

You plan on working while your in the program

I was wandering the same. That's why I wanted to know the schedule and how it is. I would like to work at least a part time

We probably wont know till after we've gotten accepted to the program and gone to the orientation

one more week and the wait begins.. am going back to the medical campus tomorrow because I feel like I put the wrong email on the application

They will use your MDC email. Relax guys you all probably have a respond by November.

My advisor told me around mid October

Every advisor say something different cause I was told the beginning of October

That's true they always do say something different. Put from past semesters I've seen it be in the beginning of October to mid October

According to the treads of past years around 13-18 October. I would love to know how many people applied but we will have to wait to September 2. I think I have to go to school that day I need to know how many classes I need for my BSN and ask my adviser about
