I created this post in the hopes that all applicants applying for the nursing program at Miami dade submit their experience they have had so far and also submit any questions they might have. I'm currently applying for the accelerated option but would like to hear what others are doing in the part time and generic option. A little about me is that I have a BSN in health science (2014) and have taken all the prerequisites with the exception of A&P 2 (which I am retaking in summer b June 22).
Right now my biggest concern is the hesi a2 exam we have to take and making sure i ace it because my science gpa is not so hot right now. I have read prior posts and it seems like A&P is the most challenging section. Has anyone taken it as yet? Your advice would be greatly appreciated. Also I'm worried that after they evaluate my degree they might not take my science subjects and make me re do them ?? . Has any one's transcript been evaluated yet?
What makes them think that more people are going to apply when a lot of ppl don't have their prerequisites done yet or they cant pass the test either way wont be able to retake it because of the 30 day waiting period
What you mean by the reading portion? I thought the score was as a whole and not individual section, if anything they would look at the science scores on the HESI and not the HESI since its science GPA they are looking for
Well idk but when I check evolved all the scores had dropped to the low or mid 70s and anatomy was at 68 or 69 so maybe because the scores of so many ppl were low that they won't be accepted so they need more applicants
My reading score was 82%. I will retake the hesi after september 5 and this time I won't loose the division sign on the calculator.I am going tomorrow to the medical.I will let you know tomorrow what I find out
Yeah my friend told me that overall the second attempt was harder than the first! But good luck Hope5 you will do great! :) btw I'm not sure why I didn't receive the email was there anyone else who didn't get it??
I did not received an email either but I called school and they confirm it. The girl told me they are going to start sending the emails so I don't know
Well idk if I should take it a third time to get a higher score specially if it gets harder and harder I'll keep my score a lot of ppl tell me that's a pretty good score for my first time
