Miami Dade College (MDC) Spring 2013 Gen. FT/PT& Accelerated Nursing program

Hi all,

I've just handed in my application to MDC for Spring '13.

Right now I'm overall score is 82 but I'm planning on retaking the TEAS in August to improve that.

If anyone has a book list from previous students, please send. I'd love to get cracking.

I just did the drug test but did 5 panel because that's what the actual health record form states. Just checked it again and it says 10 panel on the website but 5 panel on the form!! Has anyone verified with dept of nursing?

It's the 10 panel.

lilsuzy130, i did the same thing... but if you look up the actual student health form online again, they changed it to 10 panel. I printed it out again, just in case, and took it to dr to re do the test.

Does anyone know how registration works? Do we start registration the day of orientation or what? I was looking through the classes today and there's one class that only has 1 seat left so I'm a little confused

miamikat, I was there the other day accepting my seat and I asked about registration. The lady in advisement said during orientation they will tell us how and when to register. If you wanna hear it for yourself or have any other questions about it, just call advisement. I'm curious to see if they give you the same answer they gave me.

Can anyone recommend any other places to do the CPR/BLS class other than Miami Dade?

Dose anyone the average scores teas, GPA and Overall that have been accepted this year or last year

I have similar score 76.7 and 3.05 GPA overall 76.52. I'm super nervous:nailbiting:! since I know I didn't get in on the first round of picks . Do you know what round the person that got in with lower score then that last year?

Do you know what was the lowest score that got in last semester?

I applied to Spring 2013 part time, full time and accelerated.

I have a 82 on the TEAS and 3.06 GPA on my Sciences and did not make first round. I only applied to Part-Time. The counselor had told me they were pretty good scores when I submitted my application but apparently not : /

How long was the wait at the Wellness Center today? I got there around 830 and there were already 10 people in line. Didnt open till 930. I was told the lab results wouldnt be ready till after 4 today.

last years spring term had people with 75 overall scores get accepted but by the third round so we may have to wait until 1 or 2 week of november

oh and I spoke with people currently in the bridge program who got high 60s on their teas with a low gpa it all depends on the program too, that semester not many applied to bridge with high scores.
