Hey guys,
I figured I should share what I know about the Fall 2015 application so far.
So far this is what I know:
I figured this should be a great place for us to share our anxiety about our apps and build some friendships :).
Hey everyone ! I am also an applicant for the RN program term of fall 2015. Im crossing my fingers that ill hopefully get in on my first try applying if not ill have a back up plan and apply to another program on the medical campus that has similar pre reqs so my hard work wont end up going down the drain lol. The science GPA includes all the natural sciences they list ? all the chem, micro, anatomy classes right? I really hope so because I calculated those with the gpa calculator mdc has online and I have a 3.9 if thats they way the are getting the science GPA...

Hi and welcome! Yes you are correct, it is using those classes. I'm sure your hard work will not be in vain and you will get accepted! Stay positive 😊
yes i applied for the full time and part time generic , and well my science gpa is high at a 3.9 but my over all cum is a 3.2 because i was studying another subject , my nursing as cum gpa is a 3.6 but I know they dont use the as cum gpa ): so im relying on my science gpa to help me in lol
Applied yesterday! yay!!!
I believe the all cum gpa is what they look at, and that includes the pre reqs sciences plus the enc1101, ethics, the one math, and speech and human growth that are all needed for the ASN. But it's mostly based on your science GPA - that's the most important factor. They also take into consideration if you have any Withdraws on the sciences… they won't accept you with any W, unless you can get that W removed. This is info from a friend advisor…..CANNOT WAIT TO GET THE EMAIL IN A FEW SHORT MONTHS!!!!! BEST OF LUCK TO EVERYONE!

How to get the W removed?!? I have a cum gpa 4.0 and a W on a science class! Now I'm freaking out

I asked the advisor about the HESI test for Spring 2016 and she stated that it has to be taken at MDC. They won't accept HESI scores from any other institutions.
