Need help preparing for the Hesi A2 Entrance Exam

I bought the study guide but I have heard it is not much help when preparing for this test. I will be taking it in Nov at MCC. I was wondering if anyone bought "Hesi Test Secrets" from Morrison Media. It is $40, but it is worth it?

Any study advice would be appreciated!

nique281 - Hi. MCC stands for Macomb Community College. I also bought the kaplan book. I looked at it once and decided not to bother with it. I focused on the hesi study guide and i'm so glad that I did. For me the A&P part had, I believe 25 questions, but I think it may be differen't for each school. They were pretty easy. Know all of the basics. If you have access to an A&P book, it may be a good idea to brush up on it if you haven't had the class in awhile. I think there's a book called A&P made easy. Check out your library. At Macomb, we had to take A&P 1 and 2 condensed into 1 class. It was very intense. Good Luck To YOU!

Hi .... when you said that the AP questions were pretty easy...does that mean that it was pretty basic?

Hi there Did you folks already take the HESI Test? Do you have a practice test that you can email to me? Pls let me know. Im wanting to take the test ASAP so I can apply to the LPN Program @ MSC. I just took my Hesi A2 exam. I studied for this exam every single day, 7 hrs for 3 months. Believe me , its nothing but waste of time. the questions were so freaking crazy stupid. I have downloaded a lot of websites for every section to study, again waste of my time. I did good but not worth putting that much time into it. for you ppl out there that are stressing over this exam, please DON'T. the questions are very simple nothing hard about it.

Can you please tell me how hard the algebra is on the HESI? I am taking it next week and I studied hard for the TEAS test and didn't pass the math section. I didn't find the math hard it was timed and no calculator :( The algebra was difficult to do without a calculator and then to be timed....well I just couldn't do it. I have been a nervous wreck over the HESI!!!! Thank you

The math part is the most easiest part of the test. its just simple addition, subtraction, ratio, fraction and percentage. they do provide you a calculator, so no worries. I have the HESI book but trust me, you're just going to waste your time reading it. I was so nervous like you, but again don't be. I don't know if you have to take the vocabulary section, but for me that was the really hard part. It took me very long time to find these web sites but just save your self sometime and go through them, and you should be fine.

So are you saying that we shouldnt go too crazy studying over evreything? Was the Anatomy part hard? and what was hard about the vocabulary? Thank you for your help :) :)

hi everyone..

i am taking my hesi exam this friday... i have studied every day for 4 hr or maybe even more. i left my social life and ignored my family for this test. i really need some one to give me last few words about this test. i dont know what to expect for a &p since alot of people thought it was hard. believe it or not..i suck at reading comprehension part because i get bored reading boring things and then i dont may attention. is reading comprehension part simple and easy to find the answer?

any suggestion would help me alot. please help..
