Hello future nursing student friends! I've applied to MHCC, PCC, OHSU, CCC and Columbia Gorge in the Dalles. I wanted to start a thread to help ease some anxiety! What are everyone's stats? Where did you apply? What is your GPA? Do you hav work experience>? Did you do any preinterview point calculations? Where would you like to go?
I already answered my first question. My GPA is 3.84 and I have over 5 years experience as a medical assistant. According to my calculations at MHCC I will have 62 points, PCC 59, CCC 50, OHSU unknown, Columbia Gorge 53 (I think). I'd love to go to MHCC because it is close to my house but really any school will do. I'm hopful to get in this year, but it is my first year applying so fingers crossed. I'd love to hear from everyone else who is applying.
Would you want to exchange emails and ask each other possible nursing questions. Just looking to get feed back from other pre nursing students?
They were pretty strict about not discussing questions but I would just say to google nursing interview questions and go with that. That's what I did and it seemed helpful

Well they said they went through almost the whole list last year! Did they give you a number?
#18?! You have to be in! I know someone who was #23 last year and was accepted and they told us at interviews that everyone but one person I believe got accepted last year!
