Hi everyone!
I'm applying to MGHIHP for the Fall 2014 (or summer I guess since it starts in May) semester because I think it looks like a great program with good reviews from past and current students. I submitted my application on the deadline, November 1st. The only problem right now is that only two of my three recommendations are in. I'm really upset about it because I don't want it to negatively reflect on me. I spoke to this woman multiple times to submit the letter and she promised that she would by the end of the day on November 1st (which was 50 minutes ago). It's officially late now :-( Does anyone have any advice about what I should do?? Do you think it'll affect my application? Any other applicants out there??
Starting out, MGH wasn't my top choice, but I got a great scholarship offer... so I guess MGH is back in the running! I'm just a little hesitant because I feel like MGH has less of a campus-y feel, and I want to make sure I go to a school that has a good sense of community. Also, I can't seem to find NCLEX pass rates for the ABSN program. Anybody know what the NCLEX pass rate is?
JK... found some info from 2012:

I'm in the same exact boat as you. I got in with a scholarship, and the clinical placements are certainly enticing. The money makes it really difficult to say no. The only reason I'm hesitating is that I'll be moving to a new city, and having a strong campus community is really important to me. While I've been to Boston and enjoyed it, no city feels like home when you're isolated.

I have been wait listed at other schools and am so thankful for being accepted by MGH. With the accelerated programs, it is hard to determine an admissions committee's deciding factors. Don't give up!!!! TollDoll I too am in the same boat- I am still going to continue to apply to other schools regardless. I am 98% sure I'll end up at MGH but if I was offered a scholarship at another school maybe I'd change my mind. Going back to nursing school was such a difficult decision and I had no idea who difficult the wait would be. Keep trying!
