Hi everyone!
I'm applying to MGHIHP for the Fall 2014 (or summer I guess since it starts in May) semester because I think it looks like a great program with good reviews from past and current students. I submitted my application on the deadline, November 1st. The only problem right now is that only two of my three recommendations are in. I'm really upset about it because I don't want it to negatively reflect on me. I spoke to this woman multiple times to submit the letter and she promised that she would by the end of the day on November 1st (which was 50 minutes ago). It's officially late now :-( Does anyone have any advice about what I should do?? Do you think it'll affect my application? Any other applicants out there??
Hi cmgray,
I was accepted into the January cohort but I chose to defer and start in May. I graduated in 2012 with a B.S. in Kinesiology. My GPA was a 3.5. Since graduation, I have worked at MGH and Brigham and Women's Hospital in research. They accepted a range of people--some have been working in research, one a theater major, one photographer, some new grads some married with children--so I don't think your background really matters (as long as you have a high pre-req GPA and a well thought out essay). I remember my acceptance was posted online sooner than I had expected. I got an email saying that a decision had been made and was told to login to the online application. Let me know if anyone else has any questions! Hopefully I will be seeing some of you in May! Good luck!
@TolDoll ...I know stat was very hard online only because it's fast pace and I didn't realize it was over until the last week of it. But I'm retaking it with the same professor, I liked his class and it's very doable but I had too many things going on this past semester and I also had my tonsils out at the same time. If they could only understand ...
I also got a e-mail from the admissions team requesting a update for my fall grade. My professor has yet to post my grade. I was hoping we would hear from the admissions team for Christmas but I have read other post from previous students in other co-horts and it looks like they start making decisions the 2nd week of January, through e-mail. Good luck everyone! *crossing fingers*

Has anyone heard anything yet? I'm losing a little faith each day I don't see anything in the mail :/
