@swtowannabepsychnp they told me Friday afternoon. The wait is brutal! I refresh my email an unhealthy amount of times throughout the day.

@c123m456 it is agonizing. I also look at my email too much. I keep getting hopeful but today when I talked to them it didn't sound good that they were not guaranteeing Friday now. I can't imagine waiting until the end of the month....

Waiting is so hard...sorry to keep asking but has anyone gotten a definitive update if it will be tomorrow or not?

Hi, I tried to call & no one answered. I hope it's tomorrow, but have a feeling they will push it back. Don't be sorry...we're all in this stressful time together!!!

@c123m456 ugh! I hope its tomorrow. Maybe they are not answering because they are finalizing decisions and writing letters? This is what I am hoping for but grasping at straws!

@lelelele I received two responses. One that said very soon we would hear back as they are just finalizing decisions.

I emailed again to clarify what very soon meant. She said we will hear back next week at the latest but if I don't hear back by the 14th to email again.

Thanks for sharing that. I wonder why they keep delaying it.

I also wonder why they extended their deadline. Is it because they didn't have enough applicants to fill the class? or did they not like the initial applicant pool lol

@lelelele I also wondered if they didn't have enough applicants. It seemed odd that they extended it till 3/1. I am hoping we hear earlier next week then the end of the week. My anxiety has been brutal waiting for a decision after they keep changing when they will release decisions.

I could be wrong, but I’ve looked at previous threads and it seems like this is fairly common for them? Yale also has extended their deadline in the past (and this year) seems their usual is about two weeks. My guess as to why MGH does this is to make sure people are working on their applications while still understanding that many people start and don’t finish in time, or don’t get the materials in time. There’s also the added component that perhaps many really good applicants have different schools in mind and maybe for whatever did not get in or could not attend due to cost etc so a deadline extension allows for MGHI to get some strong applicants that may not have originally applied to consider them as well. I do wish they’d do some sort of priority decision/early action considerations.

I just heard and got in. No info about scholarships or financial aid.... anyone know anything about that?
