MGH MDE 2020

Hi! I'm also applying! Which specialty are you applying to?

I was applying to psych, but I'm not applying anymore unfortunately. I was very interested in their program so that's disappointing. They will not accept credits from the school where I am completing my pre reqs and I'm not taking them over so I'm eliminating MGH entirely.

Oh bummer! If you don't mind me asking, were they online credits?

I don't mind, they are and every school except mgh will take them. I personally wanted to take classes in person, but circumstances made it so that's not possible.

Also taken 1 yr of Physics, 1 yr Organic Chemistry, etc (strong science background)

@PsychTristan Hi, I think you had a really good science background. I also majored in STEM (Biology) so yay! I think MGH looks at applicants holistically, so experiences also count.

Just submitted my application today. So excited! Not sure whether they conduct interview or not. Any input on this?

I’m also curious to know if/when they conduct interviews. I heard they usually make their decisions in February, but no clue about the interview process.

I think they don't conduct interviews. I'm curious to know when will we hear result...

I’ve been reading threads from last year and the year before. It looks like we’ll hear back mid-February to early March

Thanks for your information! I just asked the admission office and they said interview will not be part of the admission process. So, no interview.

I just read these threads and found that previous application deadline seems to be January, and decisions were typically released 8 weeks after the deadline. Because this year's deadline is earlier (Dec. 1st), I don't know if they will post decisions earlier or not. If so, then we should hear back late-January to early February.

Hey everyone, I applied to the AGACNP specialty track. It is nerve-racking to send an application into the void and not hear anything for months. I’m hoping the decisions will be released on the earlier side this cycle! Good luck to all!
