MGH BSN 2012

Hi all! Anyone else out there apply for the MGH Accelerated BSN class starting in January of 2012? I've read that some people who were waitlisted for the cohort starting this month were offered spots in the Jan 2012 class, so I'm wondering how many people were offered and accepted that option... hopefully that doesn't cut down on the spots available too significantly. But, I also wonder if not as many people were aware they opened up this new class, so maybe fewer applicants?? Or maybe that's just wishful thinking :)

DianaRose34, from what I understand from MGH tuition reimbursement, it doesn't apply to us...to people who are doing a "lateral" transfer with a degree, so they won't cover a second BS, only if you advance your degree. I tried with the prereq's but someone from HR told me they wouldn't accept it. I'd check it out though cause I heard the rules changed recently.

to everyone else: congrats as well (!!!!!), I'd be up for a get-together, and what's the name of the facebook group??

cscan317, they have the info if you go to the financial aid website. it looks interesting though cause it looks different for the spring/summer, which made me confused

Hi Everyone! Thanks for the add Diana! Just wanted to congratulate everyone in this cohort! woot woot ::high five::* My deposit was sent last week and i'm looking forward to meeting all of you in the program. I graduated from UC Davis with a BS in Environmental Toxicology & I got more involved with patient care during my lab research/work which led me to the nursing field. I'm currently living in Sacramento, CA and i'm feeling quite nervous with the whole apartment search and finances. Besides that, i'm definitely excited for January!

I wanted to introduce myself as well....I'm Jordan, I'll be joining you all in January. I'm moving from Houston, TX to Boston sometime in November. I really wanted to join the facebook page but can't because my work doesn't know I'm leaving and I'm "friends" with too many people that may spill my secret to the wrong people. I'm so excited about getting back to school and even more excited to meet everyone. I've been reading a bunch of different threads to get a handle on how things work but I'm still curious as to how our schedule will look and how much money the government/MGH is going to lend me! I hate that we have to wait for everything - apply then wait - get accepted then wait - apply for financial aid then wait. Its driving me nuts! Congrats to everyone - see you all soon. :)

I was so worried too considering they emailed to say we should expect a response about a week ago but I finally just got an acceptance letter in the mail today! I live in Philadelphia so now have to figure out about relocating myself up north! :-) Anyone else with good news??
