  1. Hi Juan, I've noticed you're very knowledgeable about NP practice in California. I am a FNP student graduating in August 2015 and I was considering moving to Southern Cali. I was reading about the furnishing license law in Cali and I was hoping you could explain a little more about that. If I were to get a job offer in Cali and I already obtained my California RN license and my NP national certification could I accept the offer and start working immediately? Am I allowed to work without the furnishing license?
  2. I got in!!!! And a half tuition scholarship to boot! Good luck everyone!
  3. Congrats Jlanders and lzkblr! I was wondering when you sent in your application? I sent my literally the day before the deadline. I still havent heard back and my UM account doesnt say anything....anxiously waiting:uhoh3:
  4. Hey guys! I applied to the Summer 2012 cohort has anyone heard back yet? The 10th week is approaching and I've still had no response?! Maybe thats a sign of hope? *fingers crossed*
  5. Hey guys! I applied to the Summer 2012 program has anyone heard back yet? Its been 5 weeks now and still no response. But, it took them about 2 weeks to get my Official College Report so that could've delayed it. Thanks!

  8. Hey guys I am new to this post! I am applying to the Spring 2012 Accelerated BSN program thats only 12-15 months. I am a senior at Boston University with a 3.2 gpa with tons of medical experience and I've worked all throughout college. Also, I am a Resident Assistant. My resume is pretty solid but I'm just worried by gpa is kinda low. However, my prereq GPA is like a 3.6. Can anyone gave me some feedback on my likeliness of getting accepted? Am I a competitive candidate? Also, did you guys just answer the essay on Commonapp? I couldn't find a specific essay as it pertained to the program. Thanks in advance!
  9. Hello Ladies (and gents) I am applying for the Direct Entry program for the 2012 academic year and I am starting my applications now. I am extremely paranoid about applying because I know how competitive it is and I was hoping someone could tell me if I had a good chance of getting accepted into a program based on there own experience. I'm applying to all the Boston programs, University of Vermont, Rochester, and Southern Maine. I am a Health Sciences major at BU, 3.25 GPA, Resident assistant for 2 years, I have plenty of work experience, I've interned for the VA for a summer, interned for MGH for a summer, and I work at a Podiatrist's office. I would appreciate any advice !! :)
  10. Hi! Yes I am applying as well! I go to BU and I have a Health Science degree with a 3.23 gpa...what do you think my chances are? And I'm studying for the GRE too :/
  11. Hi, Im new to allnurses.com and I am currently a Senior at Boston University studying Health Sciences and my DREAM has always been to work in the nursing field. So I am starting my applications to Direct-Entry programs and I am SO paranoid about getting accepted into a program because I dont want to do anything else. I have a 3.23GPA, I have interned at Mass General Hospital, Veterans Affair hospital, and I am currently working at a Podiatrist's office. Plus I have tons of other jobs I've done in the past. Also, I am going to be a second year Resident Assistant. And I haven't taken my GREs yet. Point is...I would like to know my chances of getting accepted into a program (Just like the other million ppl here lol) I am applying to all the programs here in MA such as Simmons, MGH, BC, Regis) I would also have some strong reccomendations...one from a nurse at MGH, one from the Podiatrist I work for, and one from my Anatomy professor (which I had an A- in). Any feedback would help ease my anxiety! Thank you!:) PS What is a decent GRE score by the way?
